Let me start by saying that I’m a frequent Chicago visitor from Milwaukee. I was speaking with my Chicagoan friend about how much I missed pork chops due to changes made in my diet. She recommended the turkey chops at PassionEats in Oak Lawn. I tried them once and since then I’ve made dedicated trips to the establishment for the turkey chops and many other items. You could only imagine the joy I experienced when I learned that there was that there was another location much closer to my home. That joy amplified when I was treated to the exact same high quality of product and service that I’ve grown to expect from Passion eats and they will always have a long distance customer in me!

This place puts the passion in passion eats. This food brings me so much comfort and joy that I cannot put into words. Everything on the menu is so good you cannot go wrong. They will let you try anything. Shakira has taken care of me every time and is so kind. Matter of fact I’m trying to get them to cater my wedding if they’re willing to come to Texas. Love this place

Oh my goodness, let me take you back to a Sunday during Revival Week when the church ladies would whip up a feast for the entire congregation. Remember waiting in line for them to pile your plate with all that good food? Well, I just had the pleasure of experiencing soul food that brought all those nostalgic flavors rushing back!
The candied yams were perfectly sweet and seasoned with just the right touch of nutmeg, and the collard greens were tender, not soggy, and seasoned like someone’s grandma was in the kitchen. And let’s talk about the mac and cheese. Wow, it was baked mac and cheese and not that soggy gooey mess that a lot of restaurants serve.
Oh, and the fried chicken! It was so crispy that I couldn’t resist eating the skin first. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this!

WOW!!! the food was so good it sent me straight to the bed, I was pleased and relaxed after a hard day at work it was like coming home to a home cooked meal the chicken, and turkey chops was fresh and crispy cooked to order that gravy hit just right on that dressing the Mac& Cheese was just right of course I had the Greens and we not even gonna talk about the dessert,ok yes we are it was BOMB B!!!! with two B at the end check it out I drove all the way from Elk Grove Village.

First time customer. I tried the chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens, red beans & rice, and the dressing. Everything was really good. The chicken has a great taste! The collard greens had a nice texture, not mushy, the dressing had a nice taste of sage, the mac was really good, I could go on and on, but seriously it was some good made food! Overall this was a very pleasant experience and will recommend this business. Wishing them nothing but prosperity!

I’m from Florida, a traveling tech, I been trying to find the right Soul Food joint since I been here in December, I finally found my spot, I tried many here, But it’s just wasn’t that Southern Soul. I google this place yesterday and went, I ask other people that was in there how was the food. Man , let me tell you, order my Rice and Gravy, smothered chicken and Dressing, , I got back to my hotel room, put my sauce on it, I was like damn, this is it. I had to call back to the restaurant to inform them , that they are the Goat, I’m going back today. Y’all check them out, nothing but Soul in that food.

They were the BOMB. It was actually my first time eating from them, I purchase their dressing and cabbage for Thanksgiving and my family and I loved it. Definitely taste and feel like home cook with tender love and care. Most DEFINITELY will be back. Thanks to the staff and the owner they were very nice.

This jewel is in a strip mall off North Ave before Harlem. Everything was delicious. I was licking my fingers. The Lemon pound cake can’t be missed. Evenly seasoned as I am a senior with high blood pressure. It was truly a home cooked meal. I don’t get this type of food in Florida, but I will be going here till I go back home and will tell all my friends here in Chicago. Thank you for real Soul Food. AVIS.
