Went for lunch with a friend and it surpassed my expectations! Service was excellent, the food was Delicious and the serving was enough that I had to ask for a to-go container. The Oxtail Eggrolls and the house made ice tea….
Then I had the oxtails, ribs, Mac n cheese and steamed cabbage. To be honest you could order anything à la carte and be satisfied individually or as a meal. The music is a vibe. Parking was good and the location works because you can hop right on the interstate. If you love Jamaican /West Indian food or been thinking about trying it this is the place.

The food is the high light of this restaurant!! Shirley the waiter was very nice and made sure our food came out quickly. So much food first of all they have huge portions. You will go home with a plate okay. Everything was good but the oxtail and lamb pasta….was so good…the lamb was smoked and super tender and the oxtail seasoned. They even give you extra sauce for everything. The oxtail fries… BOMB over worth the $20 dollars for it so much meat cheese and waffle fries! I enjoyed this bite. I always enjoyed the other location but the vibe was vibing.

Highly recommended…you definitely won’t be disappointed. The food was amazing we tried the oxtail with a side of extra gravy, peas and rice is included then you can choose two additional sides. We tried the meat pies and an order of jerk chicken fries. Exceptionally good! The Rum punch also is a must try. However, be prepared it is a strong drink! Our waitress was so sweet and told us some of her favorites. The chef came to our table to ensure everything was to our liking. It had been awhile since I had Jamaican food, but I’m so glad we chose to eat here. Very authentic, seasoned well and excellent.

Update 2/15/26

Went back for a second time and enjoyed the food again. Now service was slow on a Sunday because they only had one server taking orders with a pretty packed restaurant, however, to say she was alone, she did a good job and our food still came out in a timely manner. We tried the honey Brussel sprouts. I don’t eat Brussels but these were really good. The only issue is that they were warm and not hot. The oxtail eggrolls were hot, big, and delicious. I should’ve just ordered this for my meal. I end up getting the oxtail tacos, pretty good. Huge size. I was only able to eat one. My daughter had the jerk burger and fries. Delicious. My husband had the Jerk leg quarter and he enjoyed. Overall I would come back but probably during the week for lunch. Oh and we had 3 drinks, 2 lemonades and a Dr Pepper. All came out in large mason jars. I didn’t care for the lemonade though. We had a rum punch as well which was in a large glass. It was good.

I visited on a Friday around 12:30pm. The parking lot is really small. I was able to find street parking nearby. Open seating was available. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The music was a nice Jamaican flair. They do not have paper menus which I didn’t like. The servers were passing this wrinkled q code from table to table. It took a while for my husband phone to scan. I just ended up going straight to the website to view the extensive menu. They definitely need paper menus instead of scrolling through the many options on their website. The complementary water tasted like faucet water, nasty. Our server was a nice young lady. She recommended the mango tea. This was okay, strong and sugary at the same time. I probably wouldn’t order again. The food came out in large portions. Definitely enough for 2 meals. I had the oxtails with rice and peas, cabbage, and mac and cheese. The oxtails were cooked and seasoned well but they were very fatty. The extra gravy was delicious. The cabbage was really good. The Mac and cheese was extra creamy but the taste was slightly off. My husband had the jerk chicken and beef rib. He really enjoyed. Both were seasoned well. The rib was fall off the bone tender. Overall I probably would go back to try different items.

We visited on a Wednesday at 3pm. Not too busy at all. Kay was our server and she was amazing. Very attentive & even had the chef come out to explain one meal to us. The atmosphere was welcoming & the restaurant was very clean. The food was 10/10. Very flavorful & huge portions. Highly recommend you visit.

This place was really wonderful.
The moment we walked in we were greeted in. Our server was phenomenal, I saw her welcome most people in and even helped tables that were not hers. I wish I got her name (she was the girlie with the colorful glasses & short).
I loved that she was very friendly but not too pushy. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals.
I got the jerk salmon combo paired with Caribbean Mac & potato salad and it was TO DIE for !!!
The seasoning was on point and very spicy but not overbearing. I loved that the rice wasn’t too seasoned that it balanced out the fish. The potato salad was a little seasoned for me but it was sooo good!!! Nothing was dry and everything was just moist enough. Can’t wait to come here regularly and try other things!
My man enjoyed his oxtails… his only qualms was he felt the Brussels sprouts weren’t seasoned but still overall the best Jamaican food I had in forever.

I had the red snapper and it was good very flavorful. It’s enough to last the next day. I like that it came with okra and potatoes. The beef Pattie was the best part of the whole meal. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken; it tasted more smoky than jerky. The guava mango drink was delicious tho

Visiting from Atlanta. I was craving curry chicken with peas & rice so bad. Because I was in the NOLA area, I just automatically assumed that this spot would be mind-blowing. Sadly, it was not. It was just okay. I told one of the chefs to his face that his food wasn’t all that good. The curry wasn’t curried enough for me; they were stingy with it. I’m Caribbean, so I know good, authentic curry when I taste it.

My mac & cheese had a nauseating after taste. But the potato salad was delectable! My beef patty was extremely flattened, as if it was rolled over by a tire, lol. My cocoa bread wasn’t soft.

Non-island folks and tourists must be the ones who keep this place in business because ain’t no way true island people would eat here and say it’s 5 stars. Would I come here again the next time I’m in NOLA? No. I’ll seek another Caribbean location.

I will say that the customer service was good, though. The servers were attentive. The décor of this spot is trendy and well-done — perfect for photo opportunities.
