I grabbed the catfish and gumbo comb and it really hit the spot. The catfish was fried perfectly, crispy but not greasy at all. The gumbo had a deep, rich flavor in every bite. Portions were generous too, definitely worth stopping by again.

Born and raised in NOLA, and this place brought me right back home. The gumbo and red beans & rice were absolutely on point – just like home cooking. The owner, Jo, and his son were so warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re craving authentic, good food! I missed our chance to grab boudin balls but will be back for them.

Taste like home! Food is always fresh and you can’t help but notice the southern hospitality Joe has! Catfish, shrimp and chicken is always flavorful and crispy! The gumbo is definitely a must! I love food experiences and great service and Bayou Grub is both. This food truck is a full customer service experience. I called ahead to ask questions and they helped me learn about what I was craving. I drove to the location and was greeted warmly by the husband and wife dynamic duo who started my order.
I get home and open up all my dishes and begin tasting! Let me tell you about the flavor explosions…just one fantastic surprise after another. The food feels like home and I am not even from Louisiana! Perfectly fried real catfish, hand cut fresh fries that are well seasoned, red beans and rice to make you slap ya momma and gumbo that will make you side eye your grandma. I have not had a boudin ball before but I tell you what, they got a fan in me.

We randomly tried this food truck a week ago and it was AMAZING! We tried the sausage poboy, gumbo, rice and beans, and catfish platter and everything was perfection. The price was also incredible and the value is insane. Definitely coming back!
