How have we lived here for 10 years and have never been??? A wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day. We had lunch and then rode over to Lido Beach. We both had the salad bar and buffet. So good! Everything was delicious but have to mention the excellent turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy! Very nice gift shop upstairs. No trip to Der Dutchman would be complete without visiting the bakery to grab a few sweet treats to take home. We got the mini Whoopi Pies and a whole chocolate cream pie!!

Just moved to Sarasota from Ohio and wanted a taste of home. Love the Der Dutchman locations in Ohio and Sarasota didn’t disappoint. Grabbed some Long John’s on the way in as I didn’t want to take the chance they sold out as it was super busy. Then proceeded to the dinning are where I ordered the lunch buffet for $20.99. Its a little more expensive than back home but that’s understandable for Florida. The buffet had everything you would want including Chicken, ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, noodles, corn, other veggies, etc. There was a salad area and they even had a taco bar as a Tuesday special. There were several cakes, jello, and even long johns and donut holes for dessert. Loved it, we will be back again!

Sooo many options. Most of food tried was pretty good. Seemed to be an off night forthe fish however. Both salmon and cod not delightful. Chicken turkey and roast pretty darn good. Did not appreciate any of the chocolate cakies either. Otherwise, everythings else just great and fresh. Very attentive and friendly staff. Proper cleaning done…chairs and all. Bathrooms nice. Stores well stocked and very inviting. Glad to have chosen to stop here. Highly recommended.

Went on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty busy! Edna took great care of us and the food was on point and always being freshened up! They have a buffet and menu options if you were to opt out of the buffet! I would definitely save room for their bakery items that they sell! The glazed donuts and key lime fried pie was amazing! Will be definitely coming back to try their breakfast and other menu items!

We drove just over an hour and a half to get here and was not disappointed! The food was amazing. We aren’t buffet people so ordered off the menu. I had the roast beef sandwich with mashed and gravy and hubby had the meatloaf. He’s s very picky eater and absolutely raved about it. The roast beef was so flavorful! Service was equally as good. And we enjoyed the atmosphere
We did share a piece of cherry pie and it was quite good.
We looked at the buffet and think we may try it another time. It was clean, well stocked and a good variety. Everything was reasonably priced too!
We also visited the bakery after and took home some cinnamon rolls. Wow!

Visiting from out of town and heard I had to check this place out! Very delicious and great portion sizes! My server Mariah, was the best server I’ve had in years! So responsive when it came to recommendations and refills! She even took the time to ask me a bit about my travels which I really enjoyed! She placed value on me not just as a customer, but as a person! My bill was only $20 but I tipped $10 because I enjoyed my service so much! Can’t remember the last time I tipped 50% but she made it worth it! I really enjoyed my time here and definitely look forward to coming back next time I’m in town! Thanks Mariah and thanks Dutchman for your hospitality and service! God’s blessings upon your business! In Jesus’ name!

We went around thanksgiving and it hit the spot! We did the buffet and enjoyed everything we got. Salad bar was great! Very good variety of food to choose from. So many desserts! It was a fun and delicious experience. Would recommend and go again.

Very large dining area, our wait time at breakfast for 12 people was about 15 minutes. The buffet offers a nice selection of breakfast foods! All staff were helpful and friendly.
