We had a party of 14 for my birthday in August and it was perfection! We were seated in the private room so we were able to talk and laugh without disturbing anyone. Ryan gave impeccable service and the food was outstanding! It was a wonderful experience for all, and everyone left very happy! We will definitely be back! It was good steak but it was not that hot when it was served on our table. My husband rib eye was less than medium rare but the waitress didn’t come back to check up on us so we just decided to keep eating as it took quite a bit even for salad and bread to come. (And she really didn’t come back to our table until we were done eating) With this type of restaurant, normally we experience pretty fast service with waiter/waitress come visit your table quite frequently but it wasn’t the case. Little disappointing.

Char 32 is my favorite restaurant on the Eastern Shore! I eat here every year for my birthday. The Lamb Lollipops are a must, and the Ribeye for Two is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Service is always excellent. If you haven’t tried Char 32, you’re missing out!!

They actually state to leave the time you would like and the number in your party. “IF” you get the reservation they will call you back……. they never call back. No way to plan a dinner sitting around washing my hair, waiting on them to call back. Am I not pretty enough!!!!@

The Chef at Char is magnificent; Ryan, our server is always the consummate professional, and the menu although principally steak, does offer great fish dishes. I would like to sincerely suggest adding light piano or jazz music to the atmosphere. Light music would set the right mood to match the intimate fine dining experience Char 32 wants to set. Unfortunately, at a recent dining experience, our group of seven was disrupted by rude privileged patrons with no social skills. These rude patrons were incapable of using their inside voices to such an extent our table could barely speak in civil tones to the person sitting next to us. Unfortunately, the Char management did not feel they could politely ask the adjacent table of rude patrons to reduce the level of the speech and laughter. The management allowed the rude patrons to display their disrespect to the entire restaurant. This type of patron behavior chases away more respectful patrons who would enjoy a nice fine dining experience in such a great restaurant setting. Hopefully management will take my suggestion seriously and improve the atmosphere at Char 32. My group goes out several times a month but have not returned to Char in over a year due to the same experience a year ago.
