It was good but not great. The stand out of the evening for me wasn’t quite the food, but the ocean views. The main course featured a few options, one of which is the duck duck goose. This was certainly one of the more preferred dishes of the evening, well cooked with a good combination of flavors. The other entree was seared scallops with corn risotto. This was not a “risotto”, it looked and tasted more like grits! While it was quite enjoyable, not memorable enough for me to repeat if I saw it again. Overall the experience was worth having, but with its hefty price point and reputation, I was hoping for a bit more of a memorable food experience.

The food was amazing and unique, the hostess had the biggest smile, laughed a lot and seemed very nice, the waitress and other waiting staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating, the manager(?!?) greeted us as we were being seated and asked was everything okay more than once, he (manager) walked around and asked the same question at other tables, the watermelon salad, filet mignon (with herb butter), herb potato side, brussel sprouts side and scallops entree were all delicious! The interior decor was amazing and unique. I like how the waitress gave her recommendations as well as the chef’s favorite(s) before I even asked, what do you recommend. Plenty of families (young children included) and large groups (10 to 15 people at one table) were there as well, everyone seemed very happy as well.

Best dining experience of OBX including those in Duck. Nothing pretentious just quiet elegance. Chef Liz was phenomenal. Recommend starting with tuna tartar and the seared scallops. Pure art.

DELICIOUS is an understatement. Last night was mine and my husbands first time at Kimballs Kitchen and we were blown away. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was out of this world and the service and staff was impeccable. The Carolina crab soup is a MUST! It is on the expensive side, but well worth it.

Came here a couple weeks ago as our “adults night out” and it was fabulous. The six of us all enjoyed our cocktails and the food was fantastic. Service was stellar and the view from the dining room got better and better as the evening went along. Would highly recommend.

Came here for dinner at the bar two nights in a row! Paul and Andres were excellent bartenders – the popovers were to die for, the cocktails are fantastic (definitely try the sangria, presentation is beautiful), we’ve had the Boursin stuffed chicken, filet mignon with herb butter and balsamic mushrooms, seared scallops with risotto and halibut with broccolini. All five stars. We’re coming back for dinner again this week!

We had an incredible dinner here and everything was perfect. The view was incredible and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was very well prepared and the portions were generous. We will definitely go back for special occasions and in my opinion this is the best fine dining restaurant on the Outer Banks.

Came here for me and my wife’s 9th wedding anniversary. If I’m being honest with you, this was absolutely the best meal I’ve ever eaten in my life. This food was better than our wedding night dinner. I could literally cut the filet mignon with the side of my fork. If you have any kind of special occasion to celebrate, make sure you contact Steve the manager, he made sure everything went off without a hitch. I cannot thank him enough for the memories created tonight. This will definitely be me and my wife’s anniversary dinner from here on out, as long as Steve is still there. Thanks Steve.

The views were beautiful. We had reservations and were sat right away. Our server was very kind and helpful. He had recommendations for food and cocktails. The food; however, was absolutely terrible considering the cost. We ordered salmon with asparagus and halibut with risotto. None of it had any flavor. I don’t think any salt was used on either of our meals. The asparagus was also incredibly bitter and I couldn’t eat it. The staff were wonderful but I would not recommend this establishment due to the poor quality of food, especially considering the high cost. We were hoping–and willing to pay for–a high-quality meal for our anniversary but, instead, we were disappointed

Our server was amazing. The dining room was so loud my family couldn’t hear each other, so we didn’t talk much. A corner table of women were drunkenly obnoxious and not told to quiet down, but then again the whole room was loud. Both of our steak orders were cooked improperly, but because it took an hour just to get our food we were afraid to send it back for fear of it taking another. Even with a reservation we were forced to wait. I’ve had better food for much less of a price. We ordered a drink on the menu and were told they didn’t even have the items yet to make the drink at all. It wasn’t that they were out of the items, they put a menu out that they didnt even have the items for. The pasta was underwhelming, the cheese plate (called chef specialty cheeses) was different slices of Parmesan for 30$. The gravy boat for the steak was larger the $70 steak. The margarita was undrinkable. The atmosphere was noisy and exhausting. We paid over $600 (for 4 adults and 1 child) to have the most miserable time. Don’t bother with reservations, it’s not worth it.
