Tacos Downey Factory is a great little spot..a hidden gem! The staff, owner included, was extremely gracious, warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, enough to share or take home for leftovers. The decor was festive Dia De Muertos and the Ofrenda was beautiful. We will definitely be back soon.

The tacos are amazing! And the Birria consommé was excellent, with lemon and salsa, recommended 100 percent, 4 tacos+ consommé + one Jarrito all for 16.01 dollars, perfect price

Five out five all up and down the board. Was greeted, guided to amenities, and treated with excellent customer service. Ordered the carne asada nachos and went on a flavor ride. Next time I’d like it just a touch spicier but the sweet and savory went really well together. Cheese was perfectly gooey not to runny and beans cooked to perfection. Asada was on point and great asada!! Would recommend this place to anyone I know in the area if I was from the area. Thank you!!! Came in 8/21 around 1130

Very homey and clean restaurant. The service was great and super fast. Most importantly omg the foooood! Definitely give this restaurant a try if you’re craving Mexican food. We chose this one because it is the best rated in the area and for good reason. All the food was amazing, great portions, and piping hot. We ordered tacos, quesadillas, breakfast burrito, and an horchata. They also have a small salsa bar that you can go up to and choose which you want. I will definitely return !!

First time in this place, it was great! Menudo is excellent amd the sopa de res.. Lucy and Sergio took care of us. Coffee was on tge weak side, however Lucy said she will take care of it. Cute and colorful stablishment. Will definently come back!
Went back on 1/10/2026 around 11am, had the menudo, always good.. The wife has been wanting the caldo de res, we been told it was either not ready or they didn’t have any at all because all the ingredients where not there… I mean, beef and veggies….How can you not have that? And it wasn’t the first time given that excuse… This place might be setting itself for failure.
Not sure if this

Found this place because I was looking for a spot to take my girl. Also, I was looking for a restaurant that had a good rating. So I googled, and I saw this spot pop up. After looking at reviews and seeing other customer pics, I decided to try. Can honestly say it was decent. Carne asada tacos were ok, was a bit chewy steak, they use chopped steak meat instead of real carne asada/ flap meat/ranchera/diesmillo. The food was a bit cold. The alpastor was also big chunks of por meat like pork stew/ adobada. Not your traditional al pastor tacos like other places. The steak in chile verde plate my girl got was good. Just that the greeb suace you can tell was canned chile verde. They did give her real carne asada meat. The hotdog with bacon was ok for what it’s worth. Could have been better. I got the limon drink, and she got horchata. Again, it was not homemade. Was like the kind you just bought at the store with that generic taste. Would I recommend this place? I mean, if you are looking for the most basic Mexican food where they kinda cut corners. Then this spot is for you. If you want more authentic, this isn’t the place. I would won’t be back. Food can be pricy so I would recommend another restaurant worth your buck.

We have come a few times already and every time, it doesn’t disappoint. We had breakfast burritos, which let me tell you are pretty much the best in Downey. We had tacos at a different time and the meat was seasoned well. It’s a small business and it’s decorated nicely. The salsas are fire, literally spicy but flavorful.
