I’ve been to Jard a bunch of times over the years – for a solo after work cocktail, a beer with friends on Halloween, or just a chill night out with my main squeeze. All of the times have been a pleasure.
With just a couple beers on tap to choose from, an array of cocktails made just perfect, and small bites to eat to fulfill that craving, everything’s delicious and service is fun and friendly.
Plus the local vibe… being a New Paltzer since I was born, I always run into someone I know who loves Jard just as much as me.

Cute place…loud but we could have a conversation. everyone seemed to know each other and the bartender was great…Russell has a tipsy snowman and it had to be pointed out to him that his mug was a naked lady torso (marry a nerd ). He said it was quite tasty … Too sweet for me. I had the fall fashioned and bees knees both of which I liked a lot…I preferred the bees knees between the two…it got better as I drank it. One disappointment is the pics on Google show some dessert items but they don’t serve desserts … Just small plates.

(T-Fall) was hospitable and accomodating as we filmed our tv show there before our filming and hike up Mt. Mohonk. Homemade seltzer and IPA beer were refreshing as were several local wines.

We bought a vacation house in Kingston ( we are Brooklynites) in 2022. We always loved New Paltz so that was part of the Kingston drawer. We wandered into Jar’d one weekend shortly after we bought the house. We have been regulars ever since, mostly because it is the sweetest wine bar ever, great drinks ( I particularly love their sangria) and Theresa, the person in charge ( and behind the bar whenever we are there) is just the best. If you are in the area and want a warm, welcoming wine bar with a great view, I can’t recommend it enough.
