This place is a J-town tradition. The people could not be more friendly. Being a baitshop and bar this place is like very few places you will ever visit. I am not sure about the bait that is sold, but the beer was cold and the bartender is a walking encyclopedia of Louisville, KY fun facts and people. Great place for friends to get together and have laughs.

Karem’s has an unparalleled view of downtown J-town from a barstool. With two huge garage doors opened up you can watch traffic roll by as you drink an ice cold beer. Plenty of seating, plenty of TVs to follow the game of the day.

My friend and his wife and I went there to get some fried fish sandwiches during the Jeffersontown gas light festival. I ordered a fish sandwich with fries and they were delicious.

The gentleman working did a great job helping me find the right kind of worms to eat, and even advised washing off the dirt before consuming them. Wish I had time to stay for a drink!

Old old bait shop that’s sells beer. It was just acquired by Tommy Pass, and he will work his magic on it. Just like “Pastime Fish.” Can’t wait to see the final vision!

They were rude when I called and then weren’t there when they said they would be open. Had to wait. Pretty cruddy service, and a disappointing experience all the way around. Will select another place next time for bait. Take care uncaring owner!

They have no food, my only drawback to this place. Other than that, great place to gather and watch a game.
