When our guest list outgrew the space, I was told my deposit could be applied toward a donut order by the owner Taylor instead, which I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, communication became extremely difficult after that. Despite multiple calls and texts over several weeks, I was unable to get confirmation or follow-through, and I never received communication around the original pickup date.
Our party had to be rescheduled due to weather, and I made several attempts to reconnect, but ultimately did not receive a response.
I truly love the product and wanted to support a small business, which makes this especially disappointing. I hope improvements can be made to communication, because the donuts themselves are really good.
Donuts aren’t overwhelmingly sweet, and have a perfect topping to donut ratio. Both were 10/10, as was the coffee.
The inside of the place is pretty big and beautifully decorated. Definitely check this place out!
Their donuts are really good and though I didn’t order the breakfast sandwich this time I absolutely will next time as my friend got it and highly recommended it!
I personally didn’t care for the coffee base they used for their cold brew beverage but that may just be my tastes. Reminiscent of Starbucks’ coffee taste, if that makes sense.
The Acai Bowl was also delicious, though I have only had two in my life ever so I don’t have much of a baseline to compare it to.
That said, management didn’t set the baristas up for success. When we arrived, they were so low on stock that they had to keep asking if alternative ingredients were okay for every item besides the donuts themselves. In all my years as a barista, if there’s no more milk in the fridge and no more bagels – that’s the manager’s responsibility, not the employees watching the register or making the drinks.
And the worst part – the manager was nowhere to be seen the whole time we were there. She wasn’t even on the premises.
There’s a Weis Markets 7 minutes up the road. Grabbing milk, avocados, and bagels shouldn’t take any longer than thirty minutes total, but you’d have to be both
1. On the premises and
2. A responsible manager
I can confirm the former wasn’t true… and infer the latter isn’t either.
I’ll give the spot a few more chances before I conclude it’s a serious issue and not just a single point of failure cascading into the whole customer experience.
