Best bagel in the area. Hands down. This locally owned bakery offers a bevy of bagels, bagel sandwiches, and cream cheeses. If you want a sandwich, be prepared to wait. As the sign behind the counter so eloquently states “this is not fast food”. That being said, I found the service to be prompt and courteous. The dining area is very limited, but clean and well maintained. The self serve coffee is hot and fresh. 10/10, I will go out of my way to visit The Bagel Exchange next time I’m in Jersey.

I think everything about this place is great. In a place where bagel shops are a dime a dozen,this one stand out. Let’s start with the bagels them selves. They on point. Fresh, with great variety. The lady behind the counter is amazing as well. She put me on hold and I hang up ready to call another place. Before I could dial she called me back and took my order. That’s superior customer service. I’m glad she called back to, because I’d of just went to hole in one for the 11000 time and get mistreated by that grumpy lady behind the counter. The coffee is good. The establishment is inviting and clean. We’re watching Madagascar 3 infact right now in the dining room. The prices are fair. In my recent experience they come in just under average prices for bagel sandwiches in the area. They also have a great mid day menu .

This tiny bagel shop is clean and the staff polite; however more important the bagels are hand rolled and super fresh. I picked up for staff and they all enjoyed the selections.

Walked in very new to the area in search of my bagel spot and I think I’ve definitely found it! Staff was incredibly helpful, walked me through the menu, and pointed out the difference between hand rolled bagels (here) and machine pulled (other places). I’ve gotta say one of the best lox bagels I’ve had to date, will definitely be coming back!
