We were interested in trying a local pizza location that was not a chain, and Deano’s fit the bill.
Before the official review starts – let me preface by saying I’m not sure what tense to write this in. I saw a post on facebook stating they were closing the doors, whereas Google suggests they are only “temporarily closed” Which I hope the close is only temporary.
We started with the Carnival Shrimp and Crab dip. That was a mistake. Which I had high hopes for, arrived at the table piping hot like it was microwaved. It tasted terribly fake and “fishy.” It tasted quite old and lacking of fresh seafood flavor. The server made it right and removed it from the bill.
She recommended that we try the meatballs – which we did.
Clearly homemade, Dense, but tender. Well-seasoned meat that was not overpowering.
Next was the House Special Pizza with pepperoni, sausage onion, meatball and green pepper.
The crust was the first sign we were in for a great meal: crispy and cooked to perfection. Thin yet sturdy, with a beautifully blistered edge and just the right chew. You can tell it’s made in-house — no overly processed shortcuts here.
Topping quality was top-tier. The sausage was savory with a little spice, the cheese melted perfectly with a slight pull, and the tomato sauce was bright, tangy, and clearly made from scratch without sugar.
Finally was Crème Brule. It was average. The custard consistency was lumpy and could have been smoother throughout.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is carnival / circus themed. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a pie to go, this spot is a winner. I certainly hope there is a future for Deano’s
Final Verdict: 8/10. A thoughtfully made, delicious house pizza that proves simple ingredients — when done right — can be unforgettable.

This is a great restaurant. We were looking for a place that wasn’t super expensive with some comfort food. This place hit the spot. We tried the calamari, mozzarella sticks, fettuccine scampi, pizza and wings. All good and the pizza tastes like NY pizza ( my wife is a New Yorker).
The service was great. Our West Indian waitress was awesome!
The place is hard to find, but it’s behind another restaurant.

It was our last night and the kids wanted pizza. It was close to the Sea Pines entrance so we gave it a shot. We made a good decision.
We have a large party (11) and they were able to set us quickly. Granted we came at 530 but by the time we left it was busy. They have good
happy hour speciala by the way.
Regular cheese pizza was good but the wood fired pizzas are the way to go. We had the Fire Eater, Carni, and the Unicycle which are all great. Their wings and brussel sprouts also deserve special mention.
Good spot, go with confidence.

Tried Deano’s Wood Fired Grille tonight for dinner and it did not disappoint. We will be back any time we are in town. It is a new restaurant on Hilton Head Island in the Reilley’s Plaza. They had live music – the lady playing piano and singing is talented and it was a pleasant backdrop to our time there. We started with complimentary bread and olive oil with Italian seasonings for dipping. From the bar, we had a Layla Sunrise, it was a great signature drink so we ordered a second one. As an appetizer we tried meat balls, tasty! For dinner, my husband had the Chef’s Pork Porterhouse, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I had their brick oven Margharita pizza and a Caesar salad. Both meals were delicious!! The restaurant owners were there and we had the chance to meet and talk with them – super nice folks! Their managers and staff are friendly and attentive – you can tell they enjoy working there. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, oh my goodness, so good!!!! If you are looking for a new fun place to dine, go to Deano’s Wood Fired Grille. Open Tues – Saturday.

Hey I have dined at the sister restaurant in Dublin, GA and this place here in HHI is as award winning as the GA location. The owners are both chefs who graduated from CIA in Hyde Park NY #iykyk. Would highly recommend this place to you and all ya’all. The piano music is definitely a wonderful addition to the atmosphere. Pizza, seafood, and salads were all simply amazing, and the service staff are extremely prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I will honestly say that this is a hidden GEM on Hilton Head Island. The food is amazing I think they cook everything in a wood fire grill which is different but delicious. If you have a significant other or this is a first date they will never forget the entertainment here is top notch. The restaurant has live entertainment, the BAND is awesome, it’s a trio husband, wife, & new member. They were so awesome I went two days in a row. the music selections are more of an older genre but I’m sure you definitely heard the songs before they add their own twist to it, AMAZING! I Definity recommend this establish if you’re in the area for an all-around magnificent experience call first to verify times for live entertainment. A must visit!

Staff was friendly and professional, food was delicious. The bread was fresh and warm when served with olive oil at the beginning of our meal. I had the chicken marsala and I would definitely order again. Mushrooms were perfectly cooked in wine and I couldn’t get enough of that flavor. We were planning to eat somewhere else, but the wait was very long. We got right in to this restaurant and they have only been open for 5 weeks! I was very pleased!

We loved this place! EXCELLENT food…friendly service and beautiful atmosphere. My husband and son said the wings can’t be beat! Try the fried zucchini appetizer..you will NOT be disappointed. Live piano music with the ability to request your favorite songs! Seriously underrated restaurant. Try it!!

Amazing new place. Layla made our visit outstanding! The pizza was perfect. My hubby had the Speidnio (sp?) The Layla sunrise drink was a delight. It was a wonderful meal and the beat service we had all week long. Will go back anytime we visit!!

Cannot say enough great things about Deano’s and especially the owner Jennifer who is amazing! My first visit was for salad and the wood fired pizza, which was excellent. And just last weekend, we had a welcome dinner here the night before our wedding with all of our out of town family and friends, and they took care of us so well. Kristen was our server and she was fantastic! We had 30 people and all anyone said was how delicious everything was and how great the service was. The live music added a fun touch to the night. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the food too! I highly recommend Deano’s for a night out or as an event venue too. Jennifer is just so kind and helpful and she really did everything she could to make our night perfect!
