We went as a big group and had the best time! The food and service were top notch! My favorite was the modern sashimi yellowtail! It was SO good! I don’t usually love sashimi but it was marinated in Yuzu sauce with amazing flavor and was very refreshing! The alcohol menu is unique too I had Kungfu Panda and was pleasantly surprised how crisp and delicious it was! A MUST place to check out if you’re in town!!! Highly recommend!

Food: every dish did not disappoint, props to the chef for each well-balanced bite we had, would definitely come back for them except the shishito peppers (still tasted a bit raw for my preference)

Amazing experience at Obon Sushi downtown! Shannon was an incredible server—friendly, attentive, and made the night feel special. Chef Felipe’s omakase-style custom nigiri was outstanding, and the Valentine’s crudo and cocktails were all delicious.
Huge shoutout to GM Pocholo for running such a great operation. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was on point. Easily one of our favorite downtown spots—can’t wait to come back!

we celebrated our valentines here and it did not disappoint! the vibe was immaculate from the aesthetic decor, to the amazing service to the delicious food. my husband is from hawaii and is a little bit of a sushi snob – but he said the fish was super fresh and comparable to fish in hawaii.
I have to give a shout out to the general manager, Po. The restaurant was so busy during our dinner but he was making rounds and made sure each table was being taken care of.
We will definitely be back and recommending the cityscape location to all our sushi loving friends and family.

This place absolutely delivered. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, from the rolls to the ramen, and everything tasted thoughtfully prepared. You can tell they really care about quality here. Service was just as impressive — friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive without hovering. It made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.

Portions were generous, pricing was fair, and the overall consistency really stood out. I left already thinking about what I want to try next time. Absolutely Outstanding!!! Obon is literally across the street from the Phoenix Suns arena, making the location unbeatable for games or concerts. Welcoming with a greatbbibe and feel.
We started with the spare rib bao bun, and it was a 10/10. Tender, full of flavor, clearly well braised, and finished with a gochujang sauce that gave it a nice little kick. It was so good I changed my entrée and ordered the Braised Short Rib Donburi, which was savory, balanced, and excellent. Different flavor profiles, but both were outstanding.
We had several sushi rolls and everything was great. No misses. My son ordered the Obon Ramen and said it was really, really good. Spicy chicken, pork belly, and multiple proteins. Clearly a signature dish.
The service was great, and the General Manager, Po, stopped by our table and was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. From the moment you walk in and see the sushi chef at work, the place looks and feels the part. The crowd and energy were great.
This place is great. 100% will be back.

Obon is a great sushi spot! The restaurant is really nice and modern with amazing vibes. The food options are excellent, and everything we tried was delicious. The sushi chefs are incredibly skilled, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each roll. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the Kama and ramen was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Super cute restaurant downtown. Located at cityscape so parking is easy! Food was great. They had an off menu special that was to die for. We had one there and took 2 to go!!! It was a miso Alfredo pasta with salmon. I hope they make it a permanent addition. Sushi was fresh and they have a nice balance of cooked foods as well for those not into sushi. Definitely recommend!
