Better strap in, this is a long review!
Here’s why Mama D’s gets 5 Stars… it has all of the things I love about locally owned, non-chain, small town, mom & pop business. Hospitality, friendly people & good service. I was working near by in Daykin, NE and there weren’t many choices for lunch, so we ate here a couple of times. Pretty much your normal bar & grill food, but it all came with a smile. I liked the town in general, especially the fact that they just drive their golf carts to the bar. I’m jealous, I can’t do that where I live! I also thought having the sink outside of the restroom was absolutely hilarious! If you come out of the restroom and don’t stop to wash your hands, Mama D will see you, and so will all of your friends and neighbors! That’s some small town accountability keeping it honest. Peer pressure in a positive way!

What a wonderful family run place with great food! They make you feel like an old friend your first time there. I sat at the bar and could interact a lot with Mama D and her wonderful daughters. Even other patrons talk to you. It’s not fancy inside but just a nice atmosphere and excellent ribeye steak which I had. Next time I am going to get the hash browns, they looked awesome.

Best little small town bar in Southeast Nebraska! Denise and her family are all so inviting and humorous, and the food beats any bar ive ever been to; and most 4 and 5 star restaurants for that matter. Try it out on the weekends for there specials and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Great food. Owners are awesome. Try the Taco Tuesday and other daily specials. Salad bar on the weekends. Cold Beer! Best place in town and folks come from miles around.

This is the only food in the town of Western. Denise, Frank and their crew do a great job serving up excellent food and service. Great small town no frills atmosphere . Loved hanging out here the week I was in town.
