I can’t believe I lived in Marrro my whole life until moving to Houston three years ago and did not hear about this poboy shop until now! It’s a small, family run shop in the middle of a neighborhood down Ames past barataria a little bit. We were going to the parades so I was in search of poboys. They have a huge 32 inch shrimp poboy option that is great for the parade route. Also tried the hot sausage and hamburger poboys which were all made to order and very yummy. Reminds me of the many corner store shops in the city that have a food counter.

This is in regard to their ATM machine not the store itself. I tried to withdraw $200 and it says error. I ask the rep there they looked confused and had no idea what to do. It took the money out of my account and never gave me anything. I call the number and it just rang and no representative was available. Looks like a scam to me and they need to put a sign on it or get rid of it. There have been reports that the store owners can manipulate the machines and are in cahoots with the actual owners of the machines. This is theft and they need to be punished for this. I spoke with another customer they had the same problem. Keep your records! Made the claim and waiting for the refund which will take 10 days.

I ordered the shrimp poboy it was ok the shrimp wasn’t seasoned to taste I like it dressed the lettuce and tomatoes wasn’t fresh but it was ok I just took the dressing off and I asked for Hot sauce and ketchup on it opened it up and no sauce on it I still ate it but I won’t get it again.

Had high expectations for the food considering the reviews but unfortunately I was highly disappointed. Food was fresh but had no taste and to say a fish plate cost $13 for only 2 small pieces of fish and fries what a waste of time and money plse do better!!!!

The food is good and this 1 star is for the service me and 3 guys was in line last night and the cashier rushed us through not giving us a chance to purchase all the items we wanted, they even told one patron who brought beer did he need them to open the beer too?. So when I got to the counter I asks him was he having a bad day he says it was because of the line ( bs) no one was in a rush. I went back and ask him ( why did you treat us that way? He said He know how to run my business was his only response.. I guess that means giving poor service to black men,, I never had a problem with that guy but last night he showed his true colors, so I don’t give a dam how good the food is I’m done with you.
