Great beer selection. Very good food but limited menu. Very friendly bar tenders.

If you haven’t been to the Boxcar Lounge lately, the new owner has developed a very nice collection of whiskey! You need to check it out. It’s a great place on the banks of the river with ample parking. Great spot for a drink before dinner on the weekends.

This place is awesome. Went here with some coworkers and couldn’t have been more surprised. Loved the bar, but especially loved the enclosed pavilion. The food was excellent and service was the same. I’m sure myself and other who came will be frequenting more often.

I highly recommend this quaint little gem located right outside of downtown youngstown aside historical landmark The B&O Station. The atmosphere is so inviting with a beautiful attached and heated pavillion it sits in right next to the river. Not to mention the food is some of the best food I have ever had from a little bar. Staff is friendly and this establishment is also locally, family owned and run. Support Local

This place is neat! Cool little diner/bar area. Looks like some outside seating, and a live music area with swings and a pool table. Good beer selection. Great food. Free parking. Definitely going back soon.

They’re back! Boxcar lounge is open, and awesome! Best bloody Mary I have had in 20 years! Garnished with a dill pickle that was garlicky and could even taste the dill. The bloody Mary mix ingredients we’re everything you could hope for, and more. It has the worcestershire, horseradish, celery salt and many other nummy herbs and spices…VERY well done! Husband had a margarita, that was fresh made and hand muddled with a pestle. This young couple, the owners, make REAL drinks, and take pride in their art. A real treasure in our downtown! And WAY too cheap, so before they take our advice, and raise their prices, go and have a drink! I had a massive, beer glass sized bloody Mary for $6…seriously! And, I am going back again!
Please, support this “mom and pop”! They are personable, they remember who you are, just, down right nice people that know how to make a very, very good drink!
