I’ve been looking for a decent Chinese restaurant, and this place more than fits the bill. The food is cooked fresh and, more importantly, cooked to perfection. They even went so far as to flavor the broccoli; it’s slight, but I could taste it. My entire meal was perfectly crisp, perfectly cooked, and it all tasted amazing. This is a rarity for me these days, so I can’t give this location enough praise.

Regarding value, I would say you’re getting a pretty good deal. I ordered the #4 combo and received more than enough food to fill me up for a listed price of $9.95 plus $1 for a bottle of water. The food tasted better than over 50% of the Chinese places I’ve been to in Wichita. Overall, I would recommend Vo’s Kitchen to anyone craving Chinese takeout that’s cooked right and reasonably priced. 11/10.

My only real critique is that the sesame chicken was a little sweeter than I prefer, but eating it with the rice solved that issue. Chinese takeout usually has strong, distinct flavors.

Came in and ordered two entrees: Kong Pao Beef and Mongolian Beef (with steamed rice). Both were mid-spicy, piping hot and really delicious. To be honest, the flavor of the two dishes seemed nearly identical – just the ingredients were a little different. Both had lots of meat, and fresh stir fried vegetables and the serving sizes were huge (enough for leftovers!). And the service was phenomenal, the kindest lady was working the register! We will certainly be back! (Sorry, only got a picture of one meal after I’d already had a few bites!)

The combo dinners provide a nice variety for price. General chicken was ok, it was heavy on the breading but had extra sauce at the bottom. The beef and broccoli lacked flavor, it was missing something and the meat texture was too mushy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat the beef. Everything else was good though. Clean restaurant with fast service. Bottle drinks only and packaged sauces only. No tap water.

This area was in need of a restaurant like this. Clean and modern interior. Digital menu board is nice. You can see the clean and orderly kitchen so you know they care about quality. I got the #3, General Chicken. The food came out fast and was so hot I nearly burned my tongue! Just how I like it. The chicken was crispy, sweet, and spicy. No fake red dye. Textbook fried rice with good garlic flavor and hot and crispy fried egg/spring roll. The crab rangoon was fresh made. It is the triangle shape i live vs the freeze burned diamond shaped ones most places use. I recommend if you want some great takeout on the upper west side of Wichita, this is where you go!

Literally the best Chinese in town. Great portions and love the plate options where you get an entree plus a crab rangoon AND egg roll for cheap. Super good food.

The food is good, but the wait is ridiculous. Ordered over the phone and told 40 minutes. No problem, I assumed they were busy. I arrived 50 minutes later and was told it would be a few more minutes. They meant another hour. They were busy, but no takeout food is worth the extra wait.

Update:
I asked for an update at 90 minutes and was told it would probably be another 15-20 minutes. I asked for a refund, they apologized and I left. Unfortunately, even though the food is good, which is obvious by how busy they are, their inability to get food out in a reasonable amount of time or give reasonably accurate wait times means I will never go there again.

I thought the food was terrible and so did my husband. We spent $54.00 plus a tip for awful food. We were dining in, waited over 45 minutes for our food. Finally got it and my shrimp with snow peas was cold. His wings were burnt, plus they offer no dipping sauce with them. The crab rangoons were chewy and cold. I asked if I could order 1 eggroll, no, you have to order 6. Took one bite out of one eggroll and bit into grizzle, I was done. We didn’t hardly eat any of it, he didn’t even want to take our many leftovers home, but I took it and we threw it out to the critters. Possums, skunks, raccoons, whatever will eat that food. The flavor wasn’t even good and the shrimp may have been bad because got sick off the few bites I took when I got home. The girl working the counter was more interested in her phone, then the customers. I feel bad for the people stating it is the best food they have ever eaten. Too expensive for awful food.

Take-out. First visit. Had chicken lo and veg fried rice. Food was good but I like a bit more flavor so I added a little msg and pinch of salt. Made the flavors really pop. We will definitely be back.
