Just started going to this place a couple times and I’m very impressed! Sushi has been amazing, prices are great, and the service is wonderful with Tiffany being so sweet and attentive! I highly recommend making it your go-to spot for sushi!

This place was sadly a let down. I feel like everyone here is just worn out and tired of the industry. Totally valid, but its effecting their business.
Right when my friend and I entered, no one else was there except the restaurant staff. No one greeted us, the waitress just walked over to a table to have us sit. It was almost like we were a nuisance for coming in at 5:30ish for an early dinner. I just had veggie sushi, and it was okay. This is not sarcastic; The man preparing the food definitely makes beautiful plate art! I definitely loved that aspect of the meal.
It’s just the windows were dirty, the table cloths were dirty, the paper they put over the table cloths was dirty. There are light fixtures that weren’t working, the back right corner is a chaotic mess… Just made it hard to think the food was prepared in a clean space.
Some simple fixes, some simple cleaning, and some simple revamps, this place would be adorable. I wish you the best of luck!

Laid back atmosphere and really good food. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and can help you with whatever you might need. The sushi was fresh and really tasty. I went with a few friends and we ordered 5 rolls – probably could have used one more but it was a filling meal. It’s BYOB btw so grab something to drink before you go.

so when you first walk in you think it’s just a small hometown sushi place. the sushi was okay but then we got our food ad it was AWFUL! then when we complained about it she said “you ordered it though?” like okay but it’s gross i’m not eating it.as this is happening she squished a roach crawling on the wall above my friends head … however we did get two rolls on the house and the service was nice

My family visit Kotta Sushi at least once every week or two. They have been around for over 20 years and the food and service has been unwaveringly consistent. If you are looking for quiet place to eat, this is it. Great food, friendly, quick service.

Always great food. I am surprised that there are so many negative reviews. I have never had a bad meal at Kotta and we have been dining in or ordering take out at least once a month for the last 7-8 years, so probably had over 100 meals at that place. Yes, the wait on Saturdays can be long but if you know it and byob you can’t go wrong. We only order sushi so can’t vouch for the hot food but sushi is simply the best.

Quiet spot in Belmar. My girlfriend and I go here every few weeks and we love it. I feel like the sushi is good and it’s not overpriced. We usually order tuna rolls, eel rolls and try one of the specials.
