This spot is a great find when you’re craving a burger and some wings. The menu offers plenty of variety, from appetizers to main courses, so there’s something for everyone. We kept it simple with burgers, wings, and French onion soup, and everything hit the mark. The standout for me was the burger—the house-made buns were excellent, and the meat was fresh, juicy, and flavorful without being greasy. It had that clean, satisfying taste you hope for in a really good burger.

Our server made the experience even better. Knowing it was our first visit, she guided us with thoughtful recommendations that felt safe for first-timers, and she was attentive throughout. The bar itself had a cozy vibe, with plenty of people enjoying their meals there—I’d definitely consider grabbing a seat at the bar next time.

The location is another plus: right near Willowbrook Mall, it’s perfect for a break during holiday shopping. You can step away from the crowds, relax, and enjoy a good meal while waiting for the kids or friends to finish up at the mall.

Price-wise, I was a little surprised that dinner for two came to about $100, with my burger around $21. But honestly, given the quality, portion size, and flavor, it felt worth it. Times have changed, and while I remember when a burger and beer ran closer to $25–30 per person, the value here is still strong.

All in all, it was a wonderful meal, and I’d absolutely come back.

1st time we went there was about a 30 minute wait, but the staff went above and beyond to get our party a comfortable table and once we sat made sure we had their amazing cornbread and drinks super fast.(Alcohol mixed drinks were very good.) We had wings ( ), potato skins (real potato skins, not frozen ones.) I can’t eat pork and usually I can’t get them without, here they didn’t bat an eye, just said “of course we can make them without bacon”… the jersey burger (super juicy and flavorful), the churrasco steak sandwich (awesome flavor with a good kick of spice), fish and chips (huge portion, fried up perfect and fresh, didn’t taste like some restaurants “frozen fish sticks”, I brought half home and warmed it up in the toaster oven and it was still just as good!) , and one of the chicken sandwiches (again great flavors, fresh, juicy, and fresh)…and all the different fries (we had regular, sweet potato, curly and sidewinder) were perfect…
2nd time we went it was a quieter night, got right in. Staff still excellent. One thing we tried different was the French dip sandwich. Unfortunately it wasn’t what I was hoping for. It was exactly what it says in the menu: a roast beef sandwich with ajou sauce on the side. I wasn’t expecting that, I was expecting a French dip sandwich with seasoning, marinated meat, etc(I know ,I should trust the menu )… But if u like roast beef, it’s for you. Packed, and bread was soft and fresh.
Will definitely be back, and will definitely keep exploring the menu!

Our family had an excellent experience at Tavern 292! We were looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced spot for burgers, fries, and some quality time—and this place delivered. It was bustling and lively, which added to the fun atmosphere. The staff was super friendly. The dishes took some time to arrive but it was peak dinner service so understandable. The burgers and pasta were flavorful and generously portioned. We skipped appetizers and dessert because we were already full, but those items looked fantastic too. Overall, a top-notch evening—I’ll definitely be back for a lunch or dinner next time!

We stopped by Tavern 292 for lunch after seeing it pop up as a recommendation multiple times, and we’re so glad we did! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic.
We started with Snowflake Margaritas, which were absolutely delicious. For lunch, I had the pork belly sandwich special, and my husband opted for the grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich—both were incredibly flavorful and generously portioned. After just one bite, we were already talking about our next visit!
Beyond the great food and drinks, the warm and welcoming atmosphere really stood out. It was heartwarming to see the staff greet regulars with hugs—it’s clear this place has a loyal following for a reason.
If you’re looking for a spot with excellent food, great drinks, and a friendly atmosphere, Tavern 292 is a must. We can’t wait to go back!

Wow!!! What a find!!! This was a fantastic place for dinner. Friendly and attentive staff, excellent food, great atmosphere, and the bar was magnificent!! Kudos to both our server and the bartender (she’s in one of the pictures, I don’t remember her name), they were the greatest!! Took very good care of us, checked on us often, and there are ZERO complaints. Two thumbs up for the Spiced Pear martini, hands down one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

Tavern 292 is the epitome of casual eateries. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and welcoming. Great crowd at the bar and the tables inside the restaurant were packed. And after trying the food, I now know why. Started out with a mighty generous portion of nachos that tasted even better after each bite. The toppings were well proportioned and did not conflict with each other. After that, I had a most excellent fish and chips. Golden brown and not greasy—couldn’t have asked for anything better. Crispy exterior with a flavorful interior. Awesome place to go on a date or just hang with friends.

Very nice restaurant! We love the selections, and the tasty, high quality food. We are definitely coming back again. The mussels were very fresh, and the burger was excellent, and cooked exactly to order. They also have a nice selection of fresh salads. We had the California style with delicious portabella and grilled chicken.

We came again and again had mussels, baby back ribs and buffalo wings. Delicious!

Food was good, but not good enough for me to be eager to come back. The wait time was long and the burger tasted like ones that I make at home, very basic and anticlimactic. The pasta was the best thing that we ate, even above the burger, fajita, and macaroni and cheese.
