The ribs were very good. Well smoked and sauce was good with the ribs. Also had the chicken which was enjoyable. My favorite was the baked beans. Very rich in flavor and hearty. To end my meal the person came to us with hot washcloths to clean our hands. Love this attention to details. Don’t pass this place up when you are visiting Wish I took photos but was too busy eating.

Its a Sunday earlier afternoon around 4:30 so I’m not sure if that was the issue. The server gave us a food menu. Our first response is there a happy hour his comment yea 3 dollar beers. Ok so we took two. Took our order brought us a full rack of ribs with steak fries and baked beans. Now as I said was around 5 maybe one other family and a few people at the bar. We received our meal in good time.Steak fries were fresh and hot that’s where the good ends. Ribs were look warm at best not a lot of sauce. Stopped our server to ask for more sauce and received it. Never stopped and asked how was the meal need another beer any desert nothing. Picks up the plates leaves the bill. Well guy now you know why the tip was one dollar. Get a personality if you don’t like vacationers not sure if that was the issue hang a sign outside the door. Very bad experience would never recommend it to anyone one

Food is reliable, always wonderful. Located off beat tracks, the place is a delightful find. The cheerful owner offers a dragon sauce for those who like it spicy, and an amazing coconut corn bread to start with.

Food was ok, cornbread was stale.
Coleslaw tasted store bought, bbq ribs were good. Pulled pork sandwich was good.
Now the place inside is filthy, 5 tvs on walls not working, Tired , old, decor. The whole I kept thinking how I would make this place over into a destination people would love. I also wondered if the restaurant was this filthy in plain site, what does the kitchen look like?

This place is off the beaten path but is definitely worth it! I had the full rack ribs and was not disappointed, at the end of the meal was given hot towels to clean up with. the wife had the shrimp which was a good portion along with the Portuguese bean soup which she loved.

Hubby and I went to smokehouse BBQ today for the first time. We were happily greeted at the door. Given a menu, there are lots of choices to choose from but I ordered the pork ribs and spicy Louisiana sausage and hubby ordered the half beef and half pork ribs. Our steak fries were fresh and delicious, so was that sausage and the sauce that comes with it!!!! Ribs were great as well along with the baked beans. Not really a fan of the cornbread (a little sweet for my taste buds), however, I ate it all LOL! No complaints with the food, great service, was polite, and even told us to enjoy the rest of our vacay walking out. I would have given 5 stars but there were flies (from the outdoor access, which is normal I guess). Would most definitely recommend to others as well as return myself. Great BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family has dined here since it was Chris’s, and their baby back ribs and baked beans are amazing. However, this trip one in our party had rather had leathery ribs, and the cornbread was dry. The dragon sauce is spicy as ever, though. Same waiter we’ve had in the past, who isn’t overtly friendly but is considerate in his own way.

The baby back pork ribs are amazing. Best bbq that we have had anywhere on Maui. This place is a bit of a dive-bar and that makes it all the better. Great local ambiance, NOT a touristy spot. If you like bbq, you need to try this place.
