My family and I went on a Friday night and they didnt have many customers so I was questioning our food choice. However we chose our table and talked to the server, ordered our drinks. They have Malta which my husband loves so that was our first positive. Then my daughter decided she wanted to eat outside. Headache for me but they were very accommodating. We ordered 2 appetizers and our favorite was the croquetas de jamon. They were crispy, hot and super tasty!! My son (8) got the lobster mofongo with garlic sauce and he said it was an 8.5 out of 10. Which is fantastic for him because he is so picky. My husband and daughter both got the pernil (pork shoulder) and it was delicious! Beautifully moist and so delicious . My daughter almost finished her whole plate of pernil, white rice and fries. She left the fries because she filled up on the pernil and rice. My husband also got tostones and arroz mamposteao. So flavorful!!!! We had never heard of arroz mamposteao but it was so rich and full of flavor. We will definitely go back! We also got a chance to talk to the owners and there are so friendly! It is a family business and definitely needs more attention from our city!

We went again and OMG! The food is so flavorful!!! We all almost cleaned our plates. 3 of us got the pernil and my son got the shrimp in garlic sauce. He ate every last one of those shrimp. My favorite part today were the tostones dipped in mayoketchup. Mmmmm. Thank you for another wonderful meal and service.

From the start my family and I were greeted with smiles. We got to choose our seat (eventually went outside due to kids having energy) and were greeted with a wonderful waitress who took our drinks. She explained the platters and answered any questions we had. The food was beyond amazing and reminded me of food my mother made growing up. Authentic and delicious Spanish food. We finished it all (young one was excited to try our meals) and washed it down with cola champagne. Would recommend for anyone in the area or those who are looking for a good atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious Spanish food.

Come support this place. Awesome food and stuff is excellent . I had today octopus with a very good tomato sauce. Other day I had red snapper to die for . Alexandra and her parents have a great restaurant in Valdosta Georgia. This is my new spot

First time here. Food is delicious! Best Cubano we’ve ever had, and we’ve had our share! Delicious Mofongo with shrimp. We also had ham and cheese croquettes as an appetizer (try with their white hot sauce – so good); and a sampler of sodas! Really friendly and welcoming people. Highly recommended!

Wonderful locally owned establishment with amazing owners and food. A must visit within the Valdosta area. We went on our day off and arrived hungry, but left happy and satisfied.

The waitress was sweet and attentive and we enjoyed everything about our day off meal. Blessings to you Sazon Boricua! Keep up the amazing work!

I spent two weeks in Puerto Rico in my 20’s and really enjoyed the food. The meal I had here did not resemble the food I had in Puerto Rico in any way. I ordered the Marisco / Seafood with Octopus in Garlic sauce. The plantains were very bland and the Garlic sauce had little flavor. I ordered an ice water, which I have never done before but the fountain drinks were $4.23 and I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I really don’t like to write a negative review especially when you can tell they are trying. However in this economy I have to be honest, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Spectacular food! They lived up to the hype. I’ve never had Puerto Rican food so I didn’t know what I was getting into. But their skirt steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Best rice I’ve ever had too.

Went to Sazón Boricua last night and it was fun and delicious. They had a dancing class going on and it was a good time. The food was great as well. We had the churrasco, the shrimp plate, and the seafood mofongo (a PR specialty). The service was nice and friendly. Ambience was fun and lively. Great place to go with a group or for date night.

Very enjoyable experience for the family to dine in or order out. I enjoyed the shrimp in tomato sauce. The mofongo (mashed fried plantains) stays nice and warm in its serving bowl. My husband enjoyed his churrasco (steak). Guava pastry was also delicious! Service was impeccable with a bright cheery atmosphere and clean setting.

Very warm and welcoming environment. Friendly staff with willingness to answer questions about the menu items. I had been wanting to try mofongo for a while now, and after seeing the open sign, me and my family stopped in to have a bite. I ordered Mofongo con Camarones (shrimp mofongo) and it was a very generous portion packed with flavor! Very pleased with my bite. My family also ordered lobster monfongo and shrimp emapanadas (smaller a la carte, order). Definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving that Boricua flavor!
