Great food and atmosphere. Lovely staff. It’s different from Culver’s, Smashburger, 5 guys, and other. Most will appreciate the differentiation, refreshing. You also have control on the many toppings available. Their fries could be.better, too soggy for me.

This was a spur of the moment visit. This was the only restaurant open for dining we could find. I have to say, the food is pretty darn good. It sort of reminds me of a 50’s diner atmosphere. I highly recommend the John boy and Billy BBQ bacon cheeseburger! I am surprised you don’t need to sign a waiver before ordering it, I could feel my cholorestol climb as I enjoyed one . The fries are not as good.

My wife and I decided to drop in on the Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes and Fries. It looked popular and had a cool 50’s-early 60’s thing going.
Food: The food is okay. The food was nothing special. The ranch was clearly processed. It was nice to have the option of tater tots or fries.
Service: The young waitresses were cheerful, friendly, and prompt.
Restaurant: The booths are clean and in good repair, but it was clear that they’d been bumped and shuffled around until the spacing for the table felt cramped. The artwork was very Rebel Without a Cause and pink Cadillac and done fairly well.
Overall: The wife and I both commented that we wouldn’t bother eating here, again. It was more about the food not matching the bright, colorful design of the restaurant, rather than being bad.

Great crew at Highway 55 today! So so friendly and quickly offered to set up booths together for our group of 10. Brought out of state family in for lunch and so glad we did. Food/Shakes great as always and kids LOVED the kidsmeal box (car) theirs came in. They saved them! The sticker/tattoo machine was a nice touch too, my wallet is much lighter after all those quarters haha! Also we had a spill (oops) the staff very cheerfully came over to assist. Love the atmosphere. Kids swayed to the music the whole time. We have a family of musicians so the littlest was quick to point out the guitars/records on the walls! Fun times. This has been one of our favorite places to bring visitors since moving here.

This business should be doing better. We came on a Wednesday and there were only two people working, the cook and a server. At the time, it was just us. We order and watched the cook do his thing. Our food was delicious and hot. Great service. We watched other customers come and slowly fill the restaurant.

I have been hearing about this place from multiple people On how good their food was. I know there was a Hwy 55 out in Redbank area, but didn’t realize there was a Hwy 55 in Camden. Found it while I was at work making a delivery headed to Kershaw county towards the Haile Goldmine.. So I stopped and ordered the Philly Cheese steak and fries and ot was very very good !! If you’ve never tried to Philly cheese steak at highway 55 it is so well worth it!!

I have never had a problem with the food, just the service at times(although it seems to have gotten better). The only complaint I have is, they came up with combos, which usually include fries and a drink. The problem is they don’t have drink choices for diabetics. You get diet cola or nothing. I just think they should have more to chose from if a combo is your only option. If you order water, like I normally do, then you order a combo, you’re not really getting any deal. Ijs, my opinion only.
