We love Rainbow Sushi! It has been our go-to sushi place in Durham since the pandemic. We love ordering via Uber Eats – and especially love eating in the restaurant. We go when we crave AYCE, or order ala carte when we feel like having specific bento boxes or sashimi sets. The friendliest and most attentive wait staff. Very easy to reorder, ask for additional items, or just clearing your table from used plates and bowls and getting refills.
This review is for our recent visit last weekend. We ordered ala carte ; Bento box Premium Chicken, Tempura Dinner, Sushi Deluxe set and Sashimi set. As always, everything came out as expected — fresh salad, sashimi & sushi, hot miso soup, and hot crispy tempuras. The bonus of that night was our dessert; on-the-house green tea ice cream by the guy in-charge of our table! What a treat. I was celebrating my birthday and that was a great way to end the night.

This place is 10/10 everything we tried was amazing. Did the all you can eat, small portions but it’s great you get to try so much more. I think we said ok last round 6 times the desert is unbelievable. All I can say is this place is great. Took photos of the golden taro and sweat potato ball.

My favorite place ever! We always do All you can eat lunch.
The staff are friendly, and makes this so enjoyable. The food is delicious, I always order lots of sushi, and tons of green tea and chocolate ice cream at the end before leaving. I always have a great time coming here with my boyfriend. They even gave us a free pitcher of whatever drink we wanted for my boyfriend’s bday.
Also, i love the playlist they choose for the embiance. Lofi pop songs without any lyrics, so its pretty chill and fun to recognize the songs.
1000/10, I recommend.

This is probably the best and my favorite sushi spot in Oshawa, they offer all you can eat as well. They keep adding signature roles to the menu. The service is good and the staff are friendly. You can also see the chef make your food which is cool. I’ve gone there so many times they know my favorites at this point. Highly recommend.

Exceptional Service and Food Quality!
I’m blown away by the exceptional service I received from Rainbow Sushi! I placed a large online order for pickup the next day but accidentally left the pickup date as the same day. The store called me to pick up my order, and when I realized my mistake, I explained the situation to them. I asked if they could save my order and allow me to pick it up the following day, acknowledging that it was my error and I would end up with day-old sushi. However, to my surprise, William, the staff member I spoke with, showed incredible understanding and kindness by advising that they would remake the order fresh for me on the new pickup date, rather than having them just hold onto the already prepared order.
What truly impressed me was their willingness to accommodate my situation without hesitation. They could have easily stuck to their policy and left me with day-old sushi, but instead, they chose to remake the entire order. This level of customer care is rare and truly appreciated.
The food quality at Rainbow Sushi is consistently amazing – fresh, delicious, and made to perfection. I’ve never been disappointed with my orders, and this experience only solidified my loyalty.
A huge thank you to William and the entire team at Rainbow Sushi for their outstanding service. I’ll continue to recommend this place to everyone I know!

Amazing food and staff. I was taken here a few weeks after my birthday and in passing the server overheard… Wasn’t expecting anything and was enjoying dinner when all of a sudden the music got turned up and a cake with sparklers was presented in front of me! It was awesome. Server was great to interact with all night. Usually it’s delivery but this was the first time we’ve been in person but definitely won’t be the last! Sashimi is always fresh here and that’s my fave! Great prices for dine in and take out. Delivery is quick.

Our family’s GO TO for sushi and other delicious dishes! Have been going for over 5 years… regularly. Often use take out / delivery but have had dinner there too. Rainbow Sushi is clean, cozy and staff are always very kind and friendly.
My kids and hubby have enjoyed their sushi, gyoza, fried chicken and other chicken and beef options… I tend to gravitate to their vegetarian options. Love their sushi / soups there are many to choose from.
