We almost missed this little hole in the wall Nicaraguan taco joint. (It is inside the thrift store door). We had the Quesabirria Tacos, Tacos al Pastor, Tacos Chiccharon, and Menudo. Everything was fresh and made to order and incredibly delicioso! Highly recommend!

Hidden gem in Silverthorne! We took the food to go but they do have tables you can eat there – it was so good! Horchata was so good too. We want to come back for breakfast.

Carne asada mixta is what you want. Whoever is at the grill doesn’t seem to miss. I’ve been there 7 times in a month and always had a perfect meal for my sensitive tummy. The food is straightforward, lightly seasoned, and inconspicuous. They are happy to accommodate any customization to your dish, and the guava juice works with any dish.

Absolute hole in the wall, same doors as the thrift shop. Phenomenal food. It looks pricey but the portions are absolutely massive. Wasn’t able to finish my chancho con yuca even though I snowboarded earlier in the day. You could definitely get away splitting a dinner portion.

Incredibly delicious and authentic Nicaraguan food! I’m Nicaraguan and have been dying to find a Nicaraguan restaurant in Colorado for years. All dishes made to order and the flavors are spot on. We will definitely stop by to grab carne asada or cerdo asado when in town. Don’t let the location discourage you – it can be hard to find (no signage outside). Must try the grilled pork / cerdo/ chancho asado and their cacao drink and all orders come with delicious gallo pinto (rice and beans) and sweet plantains or plátano frito and fried cheese…it was so delicious! Thank you for making me feel at home.

Attention Fellow Gringos! This place is literally a hidden gem (difficult to find because there is no signage out front – you have to enter the building through the Thrift Store). We came because of the ratings (all 5 stars for the food with the exception of a couple of people complaining about the difficulty in finding the restaurant). The food met expectations and, somehow, exceeded them. We ordered the Jalapeño de Res and the Quesabirrias, and we both agree we’d drive here from Denver just for the good. Perfection. I gave the atmosphere a 4, but I actually enjoyed the feeling of finding an outstanding hole in the wall treasure. You MUST try this when in the area.

The food was 10/10. We ordered the jalapeño de pollo and a burrito. The food came out pretty fast and was hot and yummy! The prices might be a little “high” but the portions are massive it’s worth it! As mentioned before it can be harder to find as there is only one sign and you enter through a door that looks like it’s for a thrift store. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and wanna eat some delish food!

I was so stoked when I found out about this Nica restaurant. The fact that it was a little hole in the wall made me much more excited because those are usually the best.
But I had my hopes way too high. My partner and I both ordered the carne asada con gallo pinto, mariquitas, ensalada, y queso frito.
As soon as we got our plates we noticed the meat was way over cooked. And the queso frito wasn’t fried enough. The gallo pinto didn’t have the necessary spices and tasted very bland. They really couldn’t mess up the salad nor the mariquitas, if they did I would’ve given 1 star at that.
The mango juice I got was hydrating, tastes like mango with Guarapo. As a miami native, this place lacked a lot of flavors but it’s prob as recent as it could get in the Rockies.

Came in after visiting the thrift store. A wonderful hole in the wall. I got the lengua and beef cheek taco — delicious tacos and salsa. Will have to go back next time I visit the area.
