The Goodbar has a menu that has some appetizing descriptions that make you want to order it all.
It has a good atmosphere being right by the golf course.
The meal during our visit didn’t live up to the menu description nor previous reviews.
We ordered chips & salsa, wings, chicken corona, and picaña steak.
The chips had some sort of powdered seasoning that made them very tasty. The salsa was warm with good flavor and not spicy.
The chicken wings were undercooked yet had a very good buffalo sauce.
The chicken corona is a bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese, poblano pepper, and topped with barbecue sauce. It came with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were good, tasted like they are made from real potatoes not flakes. The green beans were a bit too mushy with a sweet glaze. The chicken breast was dry/overcooked and the barbecue tasted like Kraft.
The picaña steak was ordered medium and it came out well done. It came with a side ceasr sale plus the two same sides as the chicken corona dish. The salad was meh and the dressing tasted like bottled dressing.
Everything, except the tortilla chips, was under seasoned.
The bartender was our waiter and he was great. If we ever go back we will stick to the bar and chips and salsa.

This intimate restaurant located in Del Rio is above the typical restaurant in this border region. While somewhat private, you are still in the center of the action with a golf course just behind it. The restaurant is quiet enough, allowing you to enjoy an upscale dining experience. The décor of the Fine Cut Restaurant is modern and sophisticated. With neutral accents and dark wood tones, it is reminiscent of an upscale steakhouse in bigger cities. The color palette compliments the rich, bold flavors of your dining experience. The picanha steak was bursting with flavor. This perfectly seasoned cut of beef needed no embellishments. My knife effortlessly sliced through each cut, delivering one of the best steaks I have ever had. While most steakhouses know how to prepare a steak, many fall short when it comes to the accompaniments. Not the Good Bar Steakhouse. The Poblano Fideo was creamy and bursting with flavors with every bite. If you have not visited the Good Bar Steakhouse, you are missing out.

This place is very good, the salad bar is quite good and healthy. The menu is small but really tasty. You will have to wait a little for the food because it is cooked fresh, but it is worthy

If you’re in Del Rio, TX, and looking for an outstanding dining experience, Goodbar is a must-visit. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection—beautifully seared on the outside, tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor on the inside. Each bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, showcasing the chef’s skill in preparing a top-notch cut of meat. The mashed potatoes were equally impressive, creamy with a hint of garlic and perfectly seasoned, complementing the steak wonderfully. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. For anyone seeking great food and impeccable service in Del Rio, Goodbar is a five-star choice!

Hard pass. It sells itself as a classy steakhouse. It’s not. Nice environment but then Walmart napkins& paper place mates. Arrive to a sign that says ‘wait to be seated’ but since there’s only 1 waitress we had to wander around looking for staff who then told us to sit wherever. Almost none of the food was good, menu is misleading, “tiger shrimp” are just normal shrimp. Side salad was basic as hell like it came from a bag, wildly disappointing on just every front imaginable for what is trying to be fancy.

What an amazing restaurant! Came into Del Rio for the day and my sister in law took us here for lunch. Wonderful, friendly staff, impeccably clean restaurant with great music and unique and delicious food. Poblano Cream soup is only available on Tuesdays and worth a weekday visit. I followed with a poblano entree that was a modern take on a traditional dish. Every bite was a delight. I don’t get to Texas very often from New York, but I will make sure to come back again.
