Excuse My French is an absolute gem in Dublin! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel right at home. The food is delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented — and the value for money is fantastic. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every level, but Excuse My French truly does. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

This restaurant is a delight to visit with a French take on food. Anytime I have visited the food and service was great. Excuse my French is located in Dunville Ave which is like a small village of shops so you are going to find other things you will want to bring home after dinner. !
Bon Appetite

We had a wonderful evening at *Excuse My French*. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and ideal for enjoying good wine and sharing plates.
We began with the **charcuterie board**, beautifully presented with French cured meats, pickles, cornichons, grapes, and fresh bread — excellent quality and perfect for sharing. We also ordered the **Pear Tatin Tart**, topped with blue cheese, walnuts, and rosemary caramel. The balance of sweet and savoury was spot on — a delicious and unique starter.
For dessert, we went for the **Apple Cake (€9)** — a recipe from the chef’s mother. It was moist, comforting, and served with ice cream and caramel drizzle. Simple, traditional, and *very* tasty — one of the highlights of the evening.
We paired everything with a bottle of **2017 L’Esprit de Pennautier (Cabardès)**, which matched wonderfully with the food.
Overall, a delightful experience — great small plates, excellent wine selection, and a cosy, relaxed ambiance. Perfect for a date night or catching up with friends.
**Highly recommend!**

We can truly feel the passion and the love of sharing from the owners. The whole team offer an impeccable service, in a superb warm setting. We love the selection of high-quality French wines as well as the charcuterie & cheese platters to share in the evenings or the delicious dishes at lunchtime. Already a fan of the place!
