Melty sandwiches were good. Ordered 3 sandwiches and combo and was around 60 dollars and took 24 minutes to come out. There were 4 sets of 4 people in the store. So not crowded. Sandwiches were nice and hot. Cuban was excellent and the patty met was ok. Fries were cold. The drink cup was about 12 ozs. For a combo starting at 4.99 on up for chips and a drink, the drink should be larger. Also, if you want to sell 10 dollar plus melts, please dont have high school cafeteria ketchup. Get Heinz. If you get a patty melt and a combo with onion rings, be prepared to spend 20 dollars. Im all for small business and getting new things, but the price is alot for what you get. Workers were working hard, so it might be the process thats slow.

My husband and I have been waiting for this to open! They were open a few days,
and understandably, trying to get the brand new kinks worked out. We went on the grand opening,
about three o’clock , and there was only a five minute line. They had signs up that everyone was still in training. They’re still learning
everything is fast as they can and to please ask questions anne for help if any issues arise. We ordered the brisket sandwich as well as the pulled pork, and both of us got fully loaded french fries and drinks. Everyone in the cook line was working their tails off. The girl at the front register was doing her best to make sure she was doing everything accurately, and our meal was brought to our table very fast and our food was still piping hot. The bill was about forty two dollars. My husband started mowing through the fully loaded fries, and said he would have paid forty two dollars for just the fries there was a greeting table where one of the staff members. Thanked us for our business and our patients and said, if we had any problems, we could talk to him. And he also offered for us to spin a prize wheel which I did, and I got a free sandwich and my husband did and got a free gift card. We are thrilled to have MELTY in Aiken! The food is excellent everything is brand new and spotlessly. Clean and staff was all friendly and trying their best. Let’s have some southern hospitality. And everyone remember to be kind, because you once upon a time you were learning things that were new to you too

The food was delightful and delicious. I ordered the turkey bacon melt and my son got the chicken parm melt. He ordered fries and I ordered tots. The turkey on my sandwich was very juicy. I liked the tots better and so did my son. I tried the melty sauce and the fry sauce. I favored the melty sauce and dipped both my tots and sandwich. He said the parm chicken was just as it should be. Great food, friendly service in a upbeat atmosphere.

Came for dinner and they were still in training. Some kinks but overall very good. Food was tasty and better than we expected. A tad pricey $15-$20 for a meal. Sandwich only is around $10. Cheese tots were delicious. The house sauce was unique with a dill pickle flavor. We will be returning.

Kinks were simple issues like ran out of cups, napkin thing was empty etc, nothing crazy

I’ve been to Melty twice since opening. The first time I ate there and they ran out of food and had to turn away customers while we were eating. That is understandable for a new place, and the food was fine at best.
Wanting to give them a second chance (after waiting for years for the opening), I went back again a week later. While I was ordering, someone who had just walked out with their to go order walked back inside and interrupted my order to tell the cashier that her sandwich did not have cheese on it (at melty??) and the cashier said it had cooked into the bread. I finished my order and sat down to wait, and then within 1 minute a bag was brought to me with 1 sandwich in it with the girl telling me that was my food. Firstly, it was way too fast for it to be my food, and secondly, I had ordered 2 sandwiches. I unwrapped the sandwich to see if it could have been one of my two sandwiches, and I went up to the counter. The cashier realized it actually wasn’t mine and handed the sandwich to another lady after i had opened it and had the grease all over my hands.

What put it over the edge and led to this review was the quality of the sandwich when arriving home to eat my order. The patty melt (pictured) also had “the cheese cooked into the bread” I suppose. You would expect for cheese to be “melted” onto the “patty,” right? wrong. Honestly, some melted cheese on soggy white bread with a small patty is not worth $10. It’s supposed to have grilled onions on it, and those are also baked into the cheese and just not what was pictured on the menu. The menu pictures look nothing like the real food, and while i understand this restaurant is new, there should be some level of quality control happening.

Strawberry lemonade? 10/10.
Loaded fries? So good.
But the chicken tenders looked more like ” giant chicken balls” instead of actual tenders I also requested 3 sauces and got zero, plus no napkins or silverware. Some things were great, but the order accuracy definitely needs work. All in all we spent $47

I was excited to try this place out. Well, let’s just say I will not be going back for a while. Here is my take on my experience.

Over priced!!!! $5 for fries and a drink added to my $11 sandwich. I tried the pulled pork sandwich. No favor and a little greasy. Husband tried the brisket sandwich. Tasted like lighter fluid.

I agree with others the menu is rough on the eyes. Hard to read.

My biggest complaint. Layout!!! It’s awful. Food being prepared left to right and then the sever having to go back left with food is CRAZY!!!!

Training on a Sunday is not ideal either. Busy church crowd.

We love trying new places but we will not be back in the near future. Best of luck!

When Melty opened, I was really excited to try this. We were there opening weekend. It was a little busy, but not terrible. We were able to find seating to eat and we didn’t wait too long to order or get our food.

One of the problems that I noticed when I first walked in the door was, I could barely read the menu. I thought I was losing my vision and it made me feel really old. Reading some of these reviews I am not alone in this feeling. Not a huge deal because we have these phones that we can take pictures and zoom in with.

The second and major problem that we noticed was when the food was done the employees would have to walk through the line of people that were waiting to order with your prepared food. As someone with contamination OCD tendencies I can’t handle that. It’s gross. I don’t want somebody else breathing on my food, especially the customers. That’s the biggest issue I noticed. Issue number 3 was the gentleman behind the counter making food with big puffy hair with no hair net. One of the female employees had her hair down. That’s a no no in the food world. Hair up and back and please wear a net. Just an observation that I can’t ignore since I can see the kitchen staff.

I do have a suggestion. It’s the set up. It’s strange it’s weird. It’s not practical. You order and then you go sit down that’s normal that’s fine. It’s the layout of the counter, it should be all the way to the left as you are looking at the menu and the opening for food should be the right where there are no customers waiting. It’s loud by the cash register from kitchen noises and it’s hard to hear when ordering. I do really hope this restaurant does well because it’s really clean, the owner is very nice and a local owner. We need to support this restaurant and show Melty our love. I’d love to see some improvements on the design or safety of food, maybe bag all food if you can’t change the way food is brought out.

The place is nice, new, and very clean. It has an industrial minimalist feel so it’s rather cold. The food was good. I like the variety of sandwiches. I had the delicious tomato basil soup which was thick and creamy. The tasty Cuban sandwich was warm and hearty. I loved the cheese curds as well. I left with a satisfied tummy.
