Our first time eating here and we were very impressed. We had a group of 9 and they were very accommodating. We called the night before and they had a large table set for us when we arrived shortly after 6pm. Our server was prompt and took great care of us. They had pictures on the menu of most of their offerings and everything looked great making it hard to choose. I ended up going with the Senor Jalapeno burrito and my wife had the steak and shrimp. When the food arrived, the food presentations were like works of art. Every dish that came to our table looked fabulous. The taste was just as good. My wife loved her steak and raved about the flavor of the shrimp. My burrito was incredible as well. It had bacon wrapped around the flour shell and was fried. There were large chunks of nicely flavored steak inside. All of us at our table really enjoyed the food. I believe this restaurant is fairly new and they do not yet have a liquor license so keep that in mind. We both had large glasses of horchata and they were rimmed with some type of honey sugary yummyness. Definitely try one of those, and you can’t go wrong with any of their food options.

First time visiting this quant Mexican food restaurant located in Lambertville, Michigan. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food! From the freshness of all the ingredients, the choice of recipes, to the presentation, I really do have to say it is a very needed change, in the area, to the standard Mexican food restaurants and their food. Although Senior Jalapeño’s offers many dishes that other restaurants offer, their quality of ingredients along with their recipes definitely stand out in the crowd.
Yes, this is a “first meal” review, which, by the way was the chimichanga combo. Both chicken and shredded beef chimichanga’s were delicious! Along with all the side dishes that it came with. I hope to enjoy their food more often in the future.
They don’t have a liquor license, as of yet, but when they do receive one, you can bet this small, family owned restaurant will be crowded every night!
I really enjoyed this place and hope they are blessed with prosperity in the future!

Ok!, my/our second visit to Senior Jalapeños (12/29/25)was just as awesome as the first! The quality of the food was great! Preparation was quick and made with very fresh ingredients!!

First time at Senior Jalapeno’s for lunch. Order the street tacos and quesa-birrias. Shared the meal between myself and my partner. Found both with generous servings of meat nicely seasoned. Nicely flavored side dishes. Great addition to Lambertville area and our new go to Mexican restaurant.

We usually love this place and eat in often, but our takeout experience tonight was really disappointing. The menu says the quesadilla fajitas come with beans and rice — and when you dine in, they also include the guacamole salad with lettuce, sour cream, beans, rice and cheese sauce on top (all part of the meal, not an extra).

We’ve ordered takeout from here before, and it came with everything just like when you dine in. Tonight, we ordered two chicken and steak quesadilla fajitas to go, and they only gave us the quesadillas — no beans, rice, or salad. When my husband went back in to ask, the manager said it doesn’t come with anything else. We ended up paying another $15 just for rice and cheese sauce that’s normally included when you eat there.

It’s frustrating because we’ve always had great meals dining in, but the inconsistency and extra charge left a bad taste. Definitely watch your order and receipt.

(Photos included: our receipt, menu listing, what we received tonight, and the last photo showing what the meal normally comes with when dining in.)

MUST TRY SPOT!
Had an amazing experience here! Our group was 8 people and they had no issue getting us in, even on a Friday night! Waited about 20 mins or so. Food was to die for, everyone got different things and I didn’t hear a single complaint. Chips salsa and queso were delicious. Will be coming back here.
Staff were super kind as well!

Super clean restaurant. The waitress was very nice and the food was both delicious and had authentic flavors that puts it a pretty big step above most local Tex mex fare. I had the Molcajete bowl and it was kick ass. I’m really happy I ate here

Had the berea tacos, which come with rice and beans. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. They were amazing! You’ll spend about $15-20 per person. Absolutely delicious

The wife and I went out to lunch today and tried Señor Jalapeño, and let me tell you, very few places truly blow me away like this one did.
The owner was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing. Every bite was on point.
Honestly, I hope someday when I walk through those pearly white gates, Jesus and Señor Jalapeño are standing on the other side waiting for me with a plate of chimichangas.
If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it
