Went there for the first time last week and was very impressed. Delicious, fresh Thai food IS possible in the suburbs! Who knew? Was blown away by how good the food was. We are picky and hard to please but we both thought our meal was fabulous. So glad we discovered this hidden gem. We will be going back often!! Service was great, too. Nice big portions! Clean restaurant. So wonderful! GO! You wont be disappointed.

It was our first time here and we had a delicious lunch. The service was delightful and the cook came out to greet us and ask if we were happy. He even gave me a wonderful sample of their Pad Thai noodles, which were delicious. We are anxious to return and try more selections from their menu. The lunch portion was as large as most restaraunts dinner portions. Delicious!

If you’re up this far north out of the Cities, and you are looking for good Thai food at a reasonable price, I strongly recommend this place. It’s small, quaint, with limited seating for maybe 30 or so, but the food is top notch and the prices are very reasonable. I would have never found the place if it hadn’t been recommended to me by someone who lives up here when I needed to meet them. I live in Northeast Minneapolis, well known throughout the cities as a food Paradise. Because of this, I have limited expectations when I am outside of my home turf. This place was a pleasant surprise. They offer their Thai food at four levels of heat. Being a warrior, I took them at their hottest. It was quite acceptable brought some sweat to my brow, and a satisfying warmth. I ordered the peanut Thai curry with chicken it was delicious. My friend got the Drunken Noodles which looked excellent. Next time you’re headed up this way or if you live in this area, give this place a shot. You won’t regret it.

Very clean and nice, with both take-out and dine-in. They seem to have a steady take out business and frequent regular visitors for restaurant eating. This place is friendly and family-run and we have had a good experience every time. The food is fresh and menu has great variety. Good curry and rice dishes, rich flavors and ample portions. Fantastic calamari (A5)! Also, ask for the Pepper Tofu appetizer (not on the menu).

The food was great. Better than average. The place was clean (what a refreshing change of pace!). The portions are big. I was impressed with the Pad Thai – the flavor was all over every noodle (something other places can’t seem to do). I can’t wait to go back!

This is the best place for Asian food. The taste and the flavor of the ingredients are amazing. If you want good quality food I definitely recommend that you go here. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. I highly recommend getting vegetable curry with extra tofu if you don’t eat meat of course. The spice level is also accurate than other Asian restaurants. If you can’t handle spicy food definitely get mild. As for me I always get medium spice level because I love the flavor. If you are a risk taken and love spicy foods well definitely get very spicy.

Best Thai food since I left Detroit!!!!!!!

I grew up in Detroit Michigan and moved to Detroit Lakes Minnesota 17 years ago. I was in the Minneapolis area recently and wanted to get some Thai food for lunch since there is no Thai food in my area and there is not really any decent Thai food in Fargo which is the closest bigger city to where I live now.

I stopped at Pad Thai and ordered my food thinking it was just another less than great Thai restaurant that I would have to settle for. When the food arrived it looked impressive. I started eating it and then the hostess came and asked me how I liked it and I said “this is the best Thai food I have had since I left Detroit 17 years ago”! She asked where in Detroit I had eaten and then revealed to me that the chef had learned his craft in the very restaurants I mentioned. It turns out I ate at the exact restaurants he had worked at back in the early 90’s and I had recognized his excellent food by taste.

Vincent Yang came out and talked to me and told me how he cares for his clientele and listens to what they like and he is constantly improving his craft with their feedback. He is a very talented man that cares for his customers. He was so excited to tell me about a new dish he created that he made me a sample of it to go.

The setting is simple and clean with excellent service for dining in or carry out.

I can’t tell you how pleased I am now that I have found my home for Thai food in Minnesota. I will never go to the Minneapolis area and not stop here for a great meal.

Not sure what people are raving about here, it’s mediocre Thai food. Sure it’s the best in the area but certainly not nearly as good as the top Thai restaurants in Minneapolis and St Paul. It’s a nice Thai ma and pa family restaurant. Some dishes are better then others. I didn’t like their Pad Thai very much. The place is good for the convenience of the locals but nothing special beyond that.
