We had a great meal. We went early on Friday for lunch. The food was hot and fresh. The BBQ was tasty. I had the catfish, it was so good and plenty of food. I took extra home. The sides were plentiful. You gotta try this place. It is worth your visit. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Our server was very attentive. Our drinks were always full.

I really wasn’t impressed with Mason’s. I came to order a BBQ potato and the server waited until we had all been sitting for a few minutes, decided what we wanted, got our drinks, and ordered a potato to tell us they were out of potatoes.
That being said the catfish was really, very good.
The loaded nachos, pulled pork sandwich, and potato salad weren’t my favorite.

This was our first time at Mason’s. We had a rib plate, pulled chicken plate, okra, baked beans, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw & cornbread. It was all delicious but our favorite was the pulled chicken. It is the best we’ve ever tried. Seasoned with their bbq rub & crispy chicken skin mixed in. Can’t wait to go back to get more chicken & try the catfish & collards! The folks working there were so friendly too. Great place – highly recommend.

Where do I start! My husband and I visited Mason’s BBQ today and we can’t say enough great things about the food and atmosphere. We both had the chicken and dressing dinner and we were amazed at how tasty the food is and also how quick the service was. We will definitely be back to try Everything on the menu! Great location and easy to get too. Everyone in this restaurant was nice and went beyond measures to make sure my husband and myself had an experience… Gotta try for yourself 10/10

Don’t order the nachos. The biggest nacho disappointment of my life. The photo is not what you get. No toppings whatsoever. The chips are stale and chewy. Please rework your macaroni and cheese, I took one bite of nothing but boiled noodles without flavor and had to spit it out. It’s hard to mess up macaroni and cheese, especially in the south, but these folks managed it. 2 stars because the owner seemed very nice.

In 2008, after football practice, this man made me the best ribs I ever ate. We went by his restaurant next to JSU today and they are still the best. Check them out at Mason’s BBQ in Jacksonville. Tell them Coach Love sent you. Promise you’ll like whatever you get.
