Picked up a crispy layer sponge cake on Sunday. It tasted good, but my guest found a string black hair inside the crispy part. I would give 5 stars if the hair wasn’t there.

I had ordered a cake and they misspelled the name. I went to the bakery to ask for a fair discount 50%. The owner got aggressive and became abusive. He threw the receipt I had taken to my face and screamed like if I was an animal. The store manager did absolutely nothing other than put her head down. It was a very unfortunate experience. This experience made me feel unsafe and as a citizen of the city of Diamond Bar, I felt that I had a responsibility to share my story for awareness. A simple transaction should never be abusive to the customer nor feel that my safety was at risk. The owner felt offended by me bringing it up to his attention. I had no resolution and I had to file a dispute with my cc company.

After attending a Yelp Elite event at Toro Tea, I noticed a small shop next door and decided to pop in to support a local business. The variety of pastries and breads instantly reminded me of 85°C, with so many tempting options to choose from. We picked out a few to try, and they were absolutely delicious! The staff were warm and welcoming, and the shop was clean and well-organized. I’m so glad we decided to stop by after the Yelp event!

Arrived at 6 when they clearly close at 7 pm. The check out girl just yelled at me they are closed and said to get out. Never coming back here again, that’s for sure. Heed the reviews and stay away from this place until they learn manners.

We loved the Taro birthday cakes. There are three different sizes as follows: 8″, 10″, & 12″. The cakes are not too sweet and just right. Be sure to call ahead of time to order. Most of the time, it will be sold out in store unless you get lucky.

Has been buying their sesame walnut toast for years. Last two, three months, I have running to broken walnut shells in the toast almost cracked my tooth. I took the broken shells back. A week later found few more pieces. They didn’t even apologize only said they will give to the owner/boss. Quality has gone down pretty bad. Also, more than one occasion when I was in the store, there was this more senior employee kept lecturing another newer one in front of customers for the stuff she didn’t even follow. Pretty bad.
