We are open 7 days of week for dine-in, walk-in and online orders from 11am to 9pm. Lunch buffets are on Saturdays and Sundays only, from 11:30am to 3pm. We serve original tastes of the cuisines of the south Indian city of Hyderabad, India. Our meats are Zabihah Halal. We also accept catering for small and large orders.

I’m not sure how much ‘authentic’ you can call the place when it’s mostly microwaved stuff. The only thing that they apparently made fresh was Chicken 65 which was somewhat okay. Even the ‘butter naan’ they’re serving is from a frozen naan packet.

This is AUTHENTIC as you can get in Tulsa for Indian cuisine! We went for the weekend buffet and were blown away by the flavor and spices. Can’t wait to go back and try the ala carte menu. The ambience leaves some to be desired but we’re going for the food not the atmosphere!

Huge disappointment! Out of chicken masala tikka so didn’t ask but substituted with small pieces of plain chicken. The potato and pea dish didn’t even have potatoes in it. A green chili dish that was supposed to be served in a creamy Cashew sauce was pure green heated kool aid. We had it delivered and everything – including other dishes and naan-were stuffed into a skimpy thin plastic bag so things shifted and were spilling out. We lived in Hyderabad – where this food is from (the style of cooking) and any restaurant in that town would be indignant about this restaurant claiming to serve their food. We were so looking forward to trying it and were so disappointed. It’s not even half-way good generic Indian. Never again.

Deccan Grill is the LATEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN TULSA. I have been waiting for last couple of years for a new Indian restaurant besides, Tandoori Guys and India Palace. I visited the restaurant the grand opening day for lunch. It is near 91st and memorial opposite to South Pointe Honda. The place is not a big one. It can accommodate maybe 35-40 people.
There was a lot of confusion when I entered inside(since it just started and they were figuring things out) and there was no one to greet me. After waiting for a few mins, someone from kitchen came and asked to take the buffet. He was keen on explaining what the dishes are which should be appreciated. There was max utmost 10-11 dishes including dessert. First you see chicken and beef kebab which is then followed by tandoori chicken, naan, butter chicken, paneer masala, chicken biriyani, egg plant curry etc. The dessert is a mango custard (made with custard powder it seems).
The best ones flavor-wise from the buffet were the chicken biriyani and the tandoori chicken, The kebabs were little bit chewy and the naan was hard. Butter chicken masala was ok but not the best. Biriyani had a different flavor (rice was somewhat similar to saffron rice but the biriyani masala was good) compared to a regular biriyani. Spice level is just medium for all dishes. Paneer masala and egg plant curry was just average. Overall the flavors of each dish were ok and I feel they could improve a little bit more.
The price for buffet is on the high side ($17.99) so I would give a 3* for the experience I had. I hope they will improve in the coming weeks. But definitely, this should be tried by all those who like Indian food. I wish if they had kept the buffet price at around 12 or 13..Anyways glad that one more Indian restaurant has opened in town.

I recently dined at this newly opened Indian restaurant – Deccan Grill, and it was a fantastic experience. The authentic taste of the Hyderabadi Biryani and Mirchi ka Salan was spot-on, reminiscent of back home. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. At $17.99 per person for the buffet, the price is reasonable for such delicious food. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Indian – Hyderabadi cuisine!

Visited this newly opened restaurant on Sunday, August 04th with my husband as we both wanted some break from cooking on our day off. My husband happened to google some Indian restaurants near us as we both love Indian food and wanted to enjoy our lunch having something that we love to cook at home and we came across this amazing place. Authentic Indian food, good taste and quality, their chicken tandoori was mouth watering, We tried almost everything and they have good balance of spices. Our overall experience at this place was just awesome all food items have an amazing taste perfect Indian cuisine.
Hoping to see more different items on our next visit which will be soon. Me and my husband were so happy that we couldn’t stop appreciating their food even after we got home.

BLUF/SUMMARY: Tulsa area is finally graced with authentic and really good Indian food – just need to improve on setup, wait times, and indoor logistics.
DETAILS: We came on a Saturday night after a friend recommended this place. From the outside, it was decent, located in a small strip mall. We were confused upon entry whether it was a sit down order or counter order place. A young man took our order by the counter – turns out it was his first week working there, so we were more patient with him. Decor was very simplistic with no frills… could use some sprucing up.
Admittedly, we got more concerned while waiting for our food. Several Door Dashers were waiting for their pickups, a couple of them stating their frustrations to the owner for a long wait. A couple of them even waited right next to where we were seated, loudly playing with their phones. That was probably the only major ding for us, the rest were nits.
The 25 min wait for our food and its simplistic presentation were all forgiven because of just how good the food was. My wife and I looked at each other as we took our first bites – “Wow… “ we muttered as we looked at each other with mouthfuls. We are suckers for great Indian food – since moving here to the area, we haven’t found anything that was worthy – having to resort to making it ourselves. The food here is a 5/5. We ordered the Kadai and Butter Chicken. Both dishes popped with flavor, not toned down for the American palette. Intense, bold, and rich – you can taste it with the broth/sauce. We confirmed with the owner that everything is from scratch, including the grinding of actual Indian Hyderabadi spices brought over here. We also ordered the naan and samosas, alongside their mint chutney. All were good, but the main dishes were the star. Pricing was also decent, esp for the quantity and quality you get.
I want to give this place a 5 overall, but just can’t given the indoor dining experience described above. However, food carries the most weight – once Deccan takes care of the other things, this will be the best overall Indian food place in Tulsa. Still, given all that, we will return as the food was that good.

Finally, another Indian restaurant in Tulsa. After years of hoping for a new restaurant, we got one. We came on a Saturday and was greeted by the host and felt like I was in India. There was a decent crowd, and the ambiance was good.
The host asked a few times if there was anything we needed and also directly led us to the buffet line.
The food was tasty, and the kitchen refilled the line frequently, but there were times that some items were in short supply.
I would recommend at least 2 more items on the line, especially if they are going to keep the price as is.
Hope to see this restaurant thrive in the next few months.

My friend from India brought me here because it is very authentic and I have to agree! The food was well prepared in the buffet and I have not had this good of Indian food in a very long time! They will be bringing a la carte food to order very soon and you will be able to customize your spice levels. Cannot wait to try that out!

Chicken 65 is my favorite Indian food. That bright red Tandoori chicken is second. Good Tandoori chicken is fairly easy to find. A very common dish. Chicken 65, not so much so.
Deccan Grill advertises a buffet on Saturdays 11 -3. I don’t want picked through buffet scraps. And I am not sure if they even have Chicken 65 on the buffet. After 3pm you can order from the menu. That’s what I want, freshly made, hot Chicken 65. And we go, after 3pm.
The air conditioner was turned up. It was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. My first thought, this place is about to go out of business; it has the feel. The restaurant is empty.
Grabbed a chair, ordered a couple of diet cokes (in the can) and “65.” The waiter looked back at what was the buffet cart and said “we are out.” Can’t and won’t make any more. Does that mean no food made to order?
That told the whole story. Eat here after the buffet closes and you probably eating the day’s left-over buffet food. Pass!!
Paid for the drinks and left.
