I rarely leave a negative review but the hot dogs I was told were “chicago style” came out like this. EW…. Old hard bread, ingredients weren’t the freshest, and worst of all….the hot dogs were old and definitely not made to order! Still try them out but I wont be back. (Fries were soggy too)

Update: been here a few times since my first visit. Love it. I’ve only tried their gyros, burgers and Philly steaks and all are phenomenal and much better than any comparable Chicago style restaurant. Will have to try their other menu items! The owner knows me by name now and always greets me by my name when I enter.
Another update: came in again yesterday and my 3 year old needed to use the bathroom really bad. There’s no public restroom so the owner let me in through the kitchen to let my son use the bathroom. I’ve been in a lot of restaurant kitchens in my life and their kitchen was by far the cleanest.

BEST GYROS IN TOWN!!
Owner is very friendly and always does a great job.
The gyros really are fantastic here. The meat is well seasoned, thinly sliced, just perfect every time. I wouldn’t get one anywhere else!

First time trying Johnnys in tinley park im usually disappointed with Tinley parks chicago style food but this gyro was a 10/10 did not disappoint me ill definitely be back again. Best gyro in town literally. My mom also ordered their beef polish which was also delicious i have no complaints, everything was fresh the gyro meat was seasoned and grilled so delicious

Food was made fresh, grabbed a Philly and a pizza puff. Complaints about the card fee’s seem invalid as there is a huge sign saying it. No issues from me as it saves you money if you use cash. Girl was extremely friendly. Drove home and food is still steaming hot. Prices vary, but not cheap and not crazy expensive for the type of food.

I was really disappointed. The gyro meat was dry, crispy and stale. I got here when they first opened on a Sunday. Maybe other days are better? The fries were undercooked and flaccid. The pizza puff was good though. I feel genuinely sad for spending my money here. The guy was really nice though. I hope he turns it around.

Awesome food taste Authentic to food I remember growing up on Southside in Mckinley park. The flavor and aroma reminds me of Nickys Hot dog on 35th and Hermitage.
