I’m not a big fan of bars. Only came here because our friends like it and it was open until 10pm. The popcorn was a nice touch and we enjoyed playing pool.

The bar food is actually really good. Drinks are made good, and it won’t cost you a fortune. Not normally over busy either.

Only problem we had was the younger gal bartender kept charging random prices for the same drinks, some were $4 then next time were $6, for the same drink. It wasnt happy hour etc etc.. I have bartended befor, she is pocketing your profits fyi..

I had driven at this point for about 8 hours, alone. I’d been pulled over for the first time in my life, listened to about 20 podcasts, and hadn’t eaten since I left home. I resolved to stop at the next place I could find that served food to eat and take a leak, and I stopped at The Other Bar & Grill. Holy smokes.
I’m pretty sure the cook was running from the police. Mostly because he straight up told me, and also that he jumped out of a window not long ago. At some point he came to the conclusion that they must be after him to tell him he has a child, and he visibly relaxed. This makes me wonder why he THOUGHT they were after him, that discovering he had a child with someone was a relief, but I digress.
The bartender was kind and attentive, and laughed her ass off at her coworker’s predicament. She was a good sort, I know it in my bones.
An aging metal head found his way into the bar the same night I happened to be there, and the way the staff treated him, I assumed he was a regular. At his side was an older woman, who immediately diverted her course from the bar to the jukebox, which she danced against by herself for quite some time before asking when the song she requested would come on. Later, she regaled me with the story of the time a homeless man tried to break into her car while she was sleeping in the back seat.
The gentleman she came in was a good conversationalist as well; in fact, he was kind enough to offer to let me park my car in his friend’s driveway while I slept, and although he withdrew his offer upon considering how his friend might feel about that, I appreciated the gesture nonetheless. I’m fairly certain both these characters were drunk before even entering the bar.

Don’t expect service if you aren’t from town! We left. The lady didn’t even get off her own bar stool to help us! Maybe I missed the sign at the door that said help yourself… if not this place is bad at service.
