They make amazing delicious ckicken kebabs, whole chicken and bulounies. I go there regularly because it’s halal very flavorful n tasty. Being Indian I’m very picky when it comes to flavors n spices. And this one has the right amount of spices for me the only drawback is they close too early. By the time I leave from work they’re already closed.

The store part threw me off a bit but there was a lot of things on the self I have never seen before. The chicken kabobs were so tender and flavorful. The rice dish with lamb and currents was very satisfying. Everything I tried was delicious. They had run out of two items we would have ordered. I definitely be returning to taste more.

This is one of those places you drive by to fast you will miss it. This store is eclectic from hot food to seasonal fruits and vegetables, to unique housewares and groceries. They mainly cater to the growing Afghan community with it being a one stop shop but all is welcome. You can buy a kabob plate or hot fresh tanoor bread that tastes so good. They carry Afghan rugs, fancy carafs and tea sets, fancy serveware, seasonings galore, frozen food and Vimto! For those who know, Vimto syrup is so hard to find. The store seems over packed with the growing demand from the increasment of clientele. I find communicating difficult when I call over the phone to ask a question when someone from the back kitchen answer the phone. If you would like to explore a new place, this would be a great spot.

A while back a good friend gave us a taste of one of the breads from this shop and I couldn’t possibly have it enough of it. Next time I passed through the valley I made sure to stop by and pick some up. While I just stopped by for the bread, I couldn’t resist leaving without the freshest, and dare I say most exotic Afghan pistachios, pine nuts, raisins, and much more. This shop rivals top Afghan specialty stores in the Bay Area. It and makes me wish I lived closer to Modesto.
