Great spot to stop and have a nice meal! We saw this place on the map traveling through the area. So glad we stopped by! The owner Jared was super nice and so was his staff. We ordered the 3 meat plate and a nice glass of tea. The BBQ sauce was sweet with a hint of heat; delicious. Everything was fantastic. Plenty of seating options outside and hammocks among the trees. Our dog enjoyed sitting in the shade. The small gift shop is a nice touch.

Flew into the Real County Airport (49R) on Saturday specifically to check out the BBQ, and it was worth the 2hr flight! The location is incredibly convenient, sitting right next to the airfield. I had the brisket, boudin, and sausage—all were excellent.
For any pilots out there, the approach into Leakey is a fun one with the surrounding hills (reminded me a bit of flying in Colorado). If you are looking for a great ‘hundred-dollar hamburger’ destination, this is it. Great food and a cool location. Highly recommend!

Found this gem after a 6.5 mile hike at Lost Maples. We’re having a girls weekend and we were starving! This spot didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and service was great! Definitely recommend to drop in and get some brisket!

I went there a year and a half ago and I still mouth water when I think about the brisket, boudain and chicken we got there. I only went back on its page to see the food again. I live in France and therefore can’t go back but I would if I could. The atmosphère is as amazing as the quality of the bbq, and Jarrod was the nicest of hosts. It’s heaven on earth.

Open air eatery with authentic Texas bbq. Some of the best smoked meats you’ll ever have. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was better than most! The meat was juicy, not too fatty and the smoke flavor was gourmet. I’d consider the 4 hour drive just to eat here again. That’s how much I enjoyed it. No pics of the food since I was too excited to chow down. It’s no frills, just good food made with love.
