Great mediterranean food! The owners are from Alexandria Egypt and prepare extremely authentic Egyptian cuisine. The kebabs hand Egyptian puff pita bread are outstanding. All of the food reminds us of our trip to Cairo and Luxor Egypt.

It was our first time at Solo. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly. And the meat lovers calzone that I got, was one of the best calzones that I have ever had. I will certainly make it a point to stop there again, the next time I pass through Pembroke!

THE VERY BEST!!!!!
By far the very best Italian restaurant that I have ever been to. I got 3 items that were HUGE portions. So much food left over that I had to get 2 to go boxes. I just couldn’t eat any more. It was so good that I tipped the cook and the waitress $20 each. It was so cheap. $20 for corn nuggets and there were at least 20 of them the size of tater tots or a little bigger. A huge “Taste of Italy” that has 4 of 5 Italian choices all together with 4 big pieces of garlic bread. Huge garlic knots that took up another entire plate. The place was so awesome. I will be coming back next weekend. I am from Floyd County and it only took a little over an hour to get there and so worth it.

We went for a late lunch, early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. We got 2 calzones, they were fine nothing to write home about.
The wait staff wasn’t friendly and the youngest one who was our waitress scowled the entire time we were there. We ordered a appetizer and she disappeared and then when she brought out the pickles she then took our meal order. Service was slow.
Between the service and mediocre food, we won’t be going again going out to eat is too expensive to not walk out happy.

Very friendly staff! Cute and quite atmosphere. I had the spaghetti and my wife had the pesto. Food was good, big portions though. Could easily share a meal between 2 people. My only dislike is that there was practically no Mediterranean food options. So if that’s what your in the mood for, don’t eat here.

The food was great! We got the garlic rolls, BBQ chicken pizza and Chicken Cacciatore. Very sweet staff doing their best despite challenges of staff shortages, and what seemed like some food shortages. Regardless, we appreciated them and the food was absolutely delicious. The homemade ranch was perfect for salads and dipping!

The food was seriously delicious. Bbq chicken roll was given two thumbs up by my husband. My kids like the kids spaghetti and cheeseburgers. Their salads are so fresh and good. By no fault of their own (as with all food services these days), they’re a little understaffed, but we didn’t have to wait much longer than we would have anywhere else.
Definitely recommend and will be back soon!

There was good and not so good. The calamari was very good, the ranch dressing was wonderful but the pizza was a huge disappointment. It said family size $17.99 but it was the size of a medium. The flavor was disappointing for the cost. It did not have the toppings the menu stated for a supreme. We did carry out and it was ready when we got there. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall not worth the money.

Nice friendly atmosphere the owner is super nice. Really good food. Excellent service. The best times to go is at lunch because it’s not crowded and I was the only patron in there eating but the owner says they are super busy dinner hours and on weekends. If you like hit subs and sandwiches and Italian dishes, Solo is the place to go in Pembroke, Virginia.
