Edit: 04/27/25 – since writing this review we’ve been back several more times because after you pay and sign up for their mailing list they send you a discount code for $3-6 every week. That’s made the price more reasonable and tempered my expectations. Instead of their gourmet crepes, I started ordering simple ones like egg, cheese and tomato, I’m finding a higher success rate of receiving a delicious breakfast crepe. Rita seems very sweet and their young staff work very hard, but I still feel like the quality here is hit or miss. 2 out of 3 will be really great and then one crepe will just be dry, overcooked, way over salted/peppered, or use totally bland or even missing ingredients. I will continue to stop by and order simple savory crepes on occasion because I’m at the market anyways but not without that discount code and a willingness to gamble.

I ordered the Veggie Thai chicken sausage crepe today and it was honestly tasteless. Edible, but so bland. At $16 a crepe and a 25 minute wait, I expect more. The crepe pancake itself was fine, decent flavor and consistency, but all the fillings tasted like nothing. Maybe the sweet crepes are better?
Plenty of other options at the farmers market… save yourself from the chaotic scene gathered in front of this place every Sunday, and try a different vendor for your brunch.

We love Rhita and her staff and what better place to experience and eat a variety of crepes served in style but at Rhita’s Crepes at the Bethesda Farmer’s Market! Rhita can also cater ! We had her cater our Princess Party and everyone enjoyed watching the process of making crepes and they are perfect and so delicious! She has an efficient staff and she is there to cook personally for the crowd!!
