The service was fantastic from the moment we entered the door. Our server was at the table moments after sitting down to take drink orders. I had an old fashion which was one of the best I have had in quite some time. My wife had a chocolate martini which she enjoyed very much. Both drinks were also esthetically pleasing as well. We started with the mushroom soup. Let me say that it was absolutely wonderful. For our entree we both chose the meatloaf and were very pleased. The presentation was very good as well. We were most pleasantly surprised by our bill especially considering the quality of food, drinks and service. Dinner and drinks came to just over $50. Wow!

We’ve been to Trio in Goodrich multiple times now, and every visit has been excellent! The food is consistently delicious, and the service has always been friendly and attentive. Their menu is extensive, and everything we’ve tried so far has been fabulous—the steak bites, noodles, chicken salad sandwich, Italian sandwich, soups, cocktails, beers, and especially their cheesecake (soooo good!). I also love that they support local, carrying Porters Orchard Cider. I tried the Porter’s Pride cider and it was everything you’d want in a crisp, flavorful hard cider. Trio is a gem in Goodrich—highly recommend for great food, drinks, and atmosphere!

A really nice restaurant in Goodrich.
Came in on a Weekday night with some friends. Had a nice meal.
The staff were very friendly and great with the menu. They explained their specials and made some recommendations. They were very attentive and polite throughout our meal.
The menu is a nice size, not too big or small. There are classic bar / grill staples and some more interesting picks.
The food came out fast and was very good. The soups were especially fantastic.
Would recommend.

Such a cozy little gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the owners are incredibly kind and attentive. You can really tell they care about their customers. Definitely a spot worth supporting — I’ll be back!

the food tasted good, and we were happy with our service. i want to support this hometown restaurant SO badly…. but I can’t justify coming here often with the prices. it’s good food but it’s not THAT good!! 8/10 on everything i tried a nibble of. $21 for 3 chicken tenders is absolutely insane!! this isn’t NYC or Chicago or LA…. it’s small town midwest. $13.99 for 2 tacos?? the cheapest pasta is $17, noodles and alfredo sauce with no protein at all, adding chicken makes it $22. $18 for vegan mac and cheese? cooking from scratch doesn’t mean you should jack up prices to insanity… especially when the portions don’t equal the price, either. these were pretty humble portions, we didn’t have leftovers at all. other area restaurants have scratch made food as well but don’t break the bank (spend under $20) and i ALWAYS get enough food for two meals!! my bill for one person here was $32 and i didn’t even get an alcoholic beverage…
overall, i would possibly come here again, but only for a special occasion when spending a little extra cash is more justifiable. this restaurant is definitely not affordable for the every day person to dine here regularly. this place would THRIVE in a larger city or town with more money flowing around, like birmingham or ferndale or in macomb county (washington twp area)! for this small little town in genesee county, i guess i dont get it.
**EDIT: after seeing how the business replies to some of the reviews that aren’t 5 star ratings (i didn’t read any other reviews until i posted mine), i probably will not patronize this business again. maybe consider that your attitude and rudeness when replying to a negative review reflects AWFULLY on you, even if the reviewer is a “karen” or not very thorough. professionalism matters! i personally won’t contribute to the well-being of rude and snippy business owners.

This is the old Cranberries Cafe. Owned by the same owners of Blondies. The menu is different but the do serve the same pies and the 6 layer chocolate cake. I am not a chocolate cake fan but it is good. Service was ok and the food a bit pricey for the portion. I left the restaurant felt pretty empty but we were the only table sat in the front area close to the bar.

Had dinner at Trio Tavern and Grill for the first time and was impressed. The place has been nicely updated since the previous owners, with a fresh and welcoming vibe. The dining room is spacious, though it can get a bit loud when full. I had the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly, and the mushroom soup and mashed potatoes were a great sidekick. Host asking if we need a vegan or regular menu is a nice touch, but let’s be honest, vegans will make sure you know if they need one

The atmosphere is a clean, modern-meets-rustic vibe with nothing too overwhelming. I like that because it makes a nice place to relax and have drinks. They had live music when I was there, which was a nice touch. Good selection of alcoholic beverages.
The staff was clearly very busy and overwhelmed with their recent opening, but service was great and I felt cared about. Big shout out to my server, Ashley. My food was great as well. I tend to go for the vegan dishes, which there were several of. The vegan crispy “chicken” ranch wrap I would eat every day of my life if I could.
Overall, I’ll be back. Keep up the great work, guys. I highly recommend!
