We are walking the boardwalk and what do we hear. Forgive me I know not what genre. I just know it was Spanish and jamming. Let’s grab a menu to see what it’s all about. We continued our walk knowing what we were going to have for dinner.
We enter take a seat Server comes up to give us menus and take our drink order. Wife ordered lemonade I ordered passion fruit. We ordered appetizers Wife had tostones I had to try Yuca fritas. I have been wanting to try yuca fries for the longest. Now I have and they are Gooooood. Fried crispy while tender and fluffy inside. Tostones which were cooked perfectly.
I ordered roasted pork with rice and beans. Wife ordered chicken rice and beans with a salad. The pork tender had to be from the pork butt as that cut in made perfect for pull pork. Seasoned nicely the beans tasty the rice in a nice little pot. I am liking what I am seeing El Pilon will definitely be on the menu when we are in Wildwood.

I was visiting from Connecticut and decided to Google a Spanish Dominican restaurant and little did I know this little gem popped up and I was so close. The atmosphere was a 10 out of 10 not to mention they were playing, my favorite songs and the food was even better. I was craving some rice and beans and I’m so glad that I stumbled upon this place on my next visit. This will be the first place. I’m stopping at the service was great And I enjoyed. I went for a second time before I left back home to Connecticut. I will definitely be back 10 out of 10.

The food here was amazing! Me and my girlfriend came here to eat for our anniversary and it was wonderful. My wife got the sunday special “Arroz Con Pollo Al Horno/ Rice With Baked Chicken”, and I got the “Pescado Frito Con Tostones Y Ensalada / Fried Tilapia With Fried Plantains & Salad”. The lemonade and passion fruit juice were amazing as well.

Such a pleasant boardwalk dive with ocean views and the most friendly staff and awesome food. Beef alcapurrias were golden crisp on the exterior and carb-y soft on the mashed interior. Baked chicken was incredibly soft and juicy with nicely crisped skin. Spiced rice contained lentils which was a fun touch. Highly recommend!

Food is so delicious. I am a local and look forward to this place to be open come summer . The best on the island. The owner is always so nice . And service is awesome! Great staff! Very family oriented . Good amount of food for a good price .

Horrible place! Do not come here. It took five minutes for me to be acknowledged before my order was taken. I ordered a pernil sandwich, i wanted it without ketchup, tomato and cheese. I waited 15 minutes before they gave it to me. As i start walking to my car i checked it and it had ketchup and cheese. I go back and tell them i only want it with the meat, mayo and lettuce, i did NOT want ketchup, tomato or cheese. They make my sandwich over, i had to wait another 15 minutes for the new sandwich. i check my sandwich again and it still has cheese!! At that point i ask for my money back. I could tell the lady that runs that place had an attitude because they can’t follow simple directions. And to top it off she put my money on the counter when i gave it to her in her hand. They really shouldn’t be in business. Everyone there looked miserable, not hospitable at ALL!

You are not sorry for my experience, if you were sorry for my experience you wouldn’t have caught an attitude the 2nd time you got my sandwich wrong and you would’ve gave me my money back how i gave it you you, which was in your hand and not on the counter. And you guys being one happy family is a joke! I wish i had taken a picture of your faces. Everyone was miserable. The way I was treated was not how you treat someone putting money into your business/pocket.
