What a hidden gem in the quaint town of Cramerton! Food was absolutely delish and service was great as well. I had the salmon over grits, a friend had a burger and another got the scallops. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It’s upscale vibes without the ridiculously overpriced of paying for more of ambience than quality food. We got the sweet potato creme brûlée to share and let me tell you, that was the best thing ever! So velvety and creamy without being overly sugary. It was the perfect amount of sweet and we couldn’t get enough of it. Portion sizes are great as well.

On a rainy Wednesday night, the service was A+, and the food even better! Have seen many good reviews so decided to give it a try to celebrate a birthday. We arrived 3 minutes after opening and they were fully prepared and attentive. Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious! I even tried the fall cocktail, spot on! Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

This place was a last minute surprise. Everything was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and everyone was super nice and helpful. But the food… the FOOD!! I had the mushroom short rib pasta and it was perfect. Everyone in my family loved their meals, but I only got a picture of my own food. My drink (apple pie something) was so good. Definitely try this place if you’re in the area.

Had an overall great time last night here. Food was excellent. Service was great but they were understaffed so our waiter was working overtime keeping everyone happy. This is a great neighborhood restaurant and I hope it sticks around for a long time.

This place is an absolute gem and hands down a must-try. From the moment we walked in, the experience was next level.

Lamar, our waiter, delivered top-notch service — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. He made the whole experience feel smooth and special.

And Chef KC? Wow. The food was on the money. Every dish was perfectly prepared, packed with flavor, and clearly crafted with skill and passion. You can taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite.

It’s rare to find a spot where both the service and the kitchen are operating at such a high level — but this place nails it. We’ll absolutely be back.

If you’re thinking about trying it… stop thinking and go.

Do not get the banana pudding. You will dream about it for months after you have it. When you succumb to your taste buds and order it be sure to plan ahead. It does take a little while to prepare. Absolutely worth the wait. There are peanuts on it. Be mindful if you have an allergy.

I can see why people say it’s a little loud but it’s actually kind of nice. The seating is cozy but the background noise is actually perfectly acoustic somehow – meaning that you don’t hear words from the people from the tables next to you talking but you’re still able to carry on a conversation at your table. And this is coming from someone who can never hear at restaurants.

There are nice touches all over this cozy place. I believe the large bench seats along the wall are actually church pews – or at least they look like they are. Everything is thoughtfully decorated.

You won’t get your food fast. That’s because it’s properly and thoughtfully prepared. As a cardiac patient on a low sodium diet I can tell you that one of the things that I admire is that the food here is properly salted (meaning it’s probably low salt to most) leaving additional salting for the table. But you won’t need it.

The amazing unlikely gems on this menu are the pasta dishes. They’re so good. I recommend topping the veggie pasta with grilled chicken. Perfection. While there are many options, there’s a lot of bacon in this restaurant in many forms.

Every piece of food I’ve had here has been expertly crafted. I would definitely say that this is an adult atmosphere. Kids are welcome but wouldn’t really fit in with the atmosphere – at dinner at least. As much as I love kids, I think that’s appropriate. When I’m here I want to have a conversation and thoroughly experience the finely crafted art that I’m going to consume.

There’s usually walk in seating but it’s a cozy place with delicious, well priced food. So, if your plan is to dine here I would encourage reservations.

Check it out. You will be impressed.

I’m really bummed about my last visit. I’ve eaten here a bunch of times and usually have a great experience. That day, we spent over $100 each. Sadly, this last time totally changed my mind.

We ordered multiple desserts at the end of our meal, took one bite of the chocolate option, and immediately realized something was off. The texture and taste were not right, so we politely asked that they take it from the table and remove it from the bill. Instead of handling it professionally, the owner refused to remove the $9 dessert from our bill — despite it being barely touched. Nor did he offer any other solutions or options.

It’s not about the $9. It’s about the principle and customer service. When loyal customers who consistently spend good money express a genuine concern, the expectation is to feel heard and respected — not dismissed over a single dessert.

The refusal to make such a small accommodation after a $100+ meal was incredibly disappointing and frankly short-sighted. Customer loyalty should matter more than squeezing an extra $9 from a table.

Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider returning. Loyalty should go both ways.

We checked out the newly opened Skillet Southern Bistro in Cramerton on a Friday night, and it’s safe to say it’s off to a strong start!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and enjoyed attentive service throughout the evening. The vibe was cozy yet lively and perfect for a relaxing end-of-week dinner.

We kicked things off with cocktails, and both of mine were impressive. The cucumber basil martini was refreshingly crisp, and the blueberry lemonade martini packed the perfect balance of tart and sweet.

For starters, we tried the coffee pork belly appetizer, and WOW! This was the star of the night. Rich, tender, and full of flavor, we’d come back for that dish alone.

Dinner didn’t disappoint either. The crab cake entrée was well-seasoned with minimal filler, and the shrimp and grits were creamy, comforting, and everything you’d want in a Southern staple. We had just come back from the beach and clearly weren’t ready to let go of seafood season LOL.

To end the meal, we ordered a strawberry balsamic dessert to go, which was tasty, but our server left us with a little food FOMO by showing us the banana pudding. Next time, that’s definitely our pick!!

All in all, a great addition to the area. Thoughtful dishes, standout cocktails, and a comfortable atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and my meal will be cocktails, pork belly entree, and banana pudding

A buddy took me here last night (7/26/25), and wow — what an experience! We started with the crab cake on a fried green tomato. Now let me be clear: I *despise* tomato slices in any form… but this? Absolutely amazing. I would order it again in a heartbeat.

For my main course, I went with the 6oz filet, cooked *blue* — for those unfamiliar, that means cooler than rare, about 43° internal temperature. Owner Kasey himself hopped on the grill for it (huge thanks!). It might sound unusual to some, but *don’t knock it until you try it*. Hands down, the best steak I’ve ever eaten.

It came with the skillet-baked mac and cheese, which was just as incredible — rich, creamy, and full of flavor.

We capped the night with the banana pudding skillet, and it was out of this world.

To all the staff and especially Kasey — thank you for a wonderful evening. Hope to be back soon. Cheers!
