I agree w/others food is great IF You GET WHAT ORDERED. Had to get two plates corrected. We ate 7/2/22 after 2pm. Practically empty until another group was seated at large table by us. Prices have greatly increased since last menu was posted in 2019. We all finished & wasn’t brought ticket. We waited until all kids started getting up bored to look at lake. At bar we asked one of three waitresses that had done some part of order. She said to me & my sister-in-law ticket was paid. We question how & found out ticket was mixed up w/ticket for group sat after us. 2nd waitress reads unpaid ticket & it included beers which we had none. After reading items on paid ticket we all confirmed that was ours. So that starts discussion between 4 ladies bout mix-up. I had to speak up “can we pay & y’all figure out mistake after we leave?” All 4 ladies faces were shocked I interrupted. We paid & they went talking bout tickets.

Simple little local cajun bar/grille on the Old River, but great steaks and the BEST fried okra I’ve ever had anywhere. Owner and staff super friendly.

Great people, good food and awesome atmosphere. Definitely try the mud fries. They are delicious and enough for a super hardy appetite. Glad we stopped.

The food was amazing. The bread on the cheeseburger was a bit dry. The onion rings were the best, and the cheese sticks were also amazing. The service was good although the food took a very long time to be cooked and served but everyone seemed nice.

Great place to eat, now that they they have taken out the dividing wall and made the entire restaurant smoke free it’s really good. Food is almost always perfect to order, hot, and fresh. Steak night on Thursday is one you don’t want to miss out on if you’re a meat eater.

We took a ride on a cold day, which became colder as we rode. When we ride we like to try new places to eat at hoping to find new places we enjoy. Old River Landing is one of those rare finds that we will enjoy when we are riding along the West of the Mississippi river. We ordered onion rings to share and they were gone in minutes. We ordered fried catfish, shrimp, and chicken tenders with fries and hush puppies. All was gone in minutes. The atmosphere has a lot of money from past visitors, a bar, friendly staff, and I could imagine fun times and memories had over the years. Please take the time to visit this gem of Louisiana and experience your own memories. Oh, and there is a boat launch for $5.00. Sounds like a great price to me, except I don’t own a boat. Also great views of the river (actually a Oxbow).

Took my dad, wife and sister to lunch on a Saturday. Food was descent and service was ok. Haven’t been to Old River in 40 years. They have probably $1000 in one dollar bills plastered all over the walls. Not the most sanitary atmosphere but points for creativity. Fun place if you like sacalait fishing. That’s crappie for you northerners.
