We spent the last six months at this campground, and one of the biggest surprises was the restaurant right on-site. At first, we expected typical bar food, and yes, they do have the fried favorites, but the owner, who is also a chef, takes it way beyond that. The creativity and quality of the food honestly rival what you’d find in a nice restaurant in town, which is not what you expect when you hear “campground bar.”
The drink selection is great, the locals are a blast to hang out with, and the owner quickly went from being the guy behind the counter to being a genuine friend. Between the hospitality, the community vibe, and the food, this place has been a highlight of our stay. We couldn’t recommend it more if you’re passing through or staying at the campground.

A hidden gem at the campground!! The burgers are the highlight here, my Miles Burger was PHENOMENAL!! We will have to come back for the fish fry. There are 12″ and 16″ pizzas available too. The sides like fries are $2 extra though, which was a little confusing. It looked like just certain ones on the 2nd line like the salad was extra.

Nice enough space, but basically a wide open room with a concrete floor, a (big) bar on the far side and a bunch of tables and chairs that can be removed if needed (the building is part of a campground and maybe serves multiple purposes?). Typical bar fare… We had a loaded baked potato and the poutine. The food was fine. We noticed too late there was a fish fry, which might have made it a different experience.

So thankful we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were looking to try a new little spot and didn’t realize we would find a new favorite! We shared the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, the Reuben and the Ribs and loved them all. Overall very casual environment with great service from Tim! Thanks for hosting us. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other menu items!

We were coming home from a mini vacation, we were hungry and were looking for somewhere to eat. We were looking on Google maps for a place. We found a place. This was not it, this didn’t show up. We didn’t like the looks of the place that we found. We searched for restaurants and Miles came up. When we got there we didn’t know what to think, we actually had low expectations… boy were we wrong! We each had different things and an app and even a dessert. I sampled all of them. The place was clean, the service was friendly and attentive. All the food was so good. My only wish, that it was closer to my house. Talk about a hidden gem, it’s literally hidden (kind of). When I got the bill, I was astonished, I expected it to be quite a bit more expensive. The servings were a good size. I ate all of mine but was stuffed. The rest of the family had to take to go containers. An absolute winner in my book! A must go to! Yum! Two thumbs up!

Smash Burgers with the signature sauce is fire. Older, but lively crowd. Coming back one day for drinks. Met the owner, super cool guy, he makes 90% of the food from scratch and everything is fresh! Also free billiards.

Found this place while looking for a casual spot to meet my daughter, an NIU student for lunch that was “half-way”. Great food, prepared with care, reasonably priced, and very friendly service! This may become a regular stop for us.
