We love love love this dumpling place. We found the first location in Katy and have been there almost every weekend. So glad they have another location in Memorial city. They food is the best, the service is great, all staff are friendly. My husband and I have tried so many dumpling places in houston, this place is still the best one. We introduced this place to our family and friends and they all love the food here. 100/10 recommended

A great addition in the area! Located in a spacious lot off of I-10, plenty of parking. It was already crowded when we walked in but service was fairly quick. We ordered a few items to share as a table.

Everything we had was delish. Their menu was easy to read and not overwhelmed too many choices. Food came out pretty quick. We ordered:

– salty egg yolk fish fillet
– garlic bok choy
– soup dumplings
– house special fried vermicelli
– spicy pork and shrimp wontons in red oil
– fried sesame balls

Their soup dumplings came out hot and were pretty solid, perfect for a cold night. A stand out item was the salty egg yolk fish fillet. They nailed the flavors on this dish. We also love the wontons in red oil. Each dish stood out on its own. I was very impressed. Will definitely come back to try more next time.

Everything we ordered here was delicious! The food was cooked well and the service was quick and very friendly. The soup dumplings were excellent— better than One Dragon. I also loved the window into the kitchen where you can see the ladies making the dumplings from scratch. This is exactly what Spring Branch needed. We’ll definitely be back.

Love Dumpling House in Spring Valley Village may be a recent addition to the neighborhood dining scene, but it’s already drawing a well-deserved crowd. On our visit, we sampled a variety of dishes including the salt and pepper fried fish fillet, hot and sour cucumber salad, pan-seared pork dumplings, and traditional steamed pork dumplings. Every item was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care — the dumplings in particular had excellent texture and rich, satisfying fillings. The only minor exception was the fried fish, which was more blend than expected.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Since they don’t yet have a liquor license, we brought our own wine — a nice bonus was that there’s no corkage fee, though you should remember to bring your own wine opener!

Overall, the meal was delicious and very enjoyable, and it’s easy to see why this place is becoming so popular so quickly. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

We are major fans of the Love’s Dumplings at the Mason location (The Original!). So we were very excited when they opened a branch near us. The following review is based on food during their Soft Opening (20% off until 12/19/25). I will update my review again in 6 months because I do like them a lot.

As of Friday, 12/12/25, 11:15 am, there were four waiters out in front. The warm welcome came from the youngest who we recognized. We were seated promptly. The original menus were offered and we ordered our favorites. The plates, bowls, napkins and utensils were placed in the middle soon after.

As soon as the dish was made, the waiters brought out our dishes:

1. The garlicky cucumbers and peanuts-were crunchy and tasted well marinated. So very satisfying!

2. Crispy salted egg yolk fish sprinkled with small slices of spicy red peppers – we’re not crispy. Fish tasted great and much juicier than the original’s. But it did not have shatter crispy that I come here for.
3. Boiled Water dumplings (pork & chives) – the filling had an unwanted Asian meatball consistency. They also had an unexpected 5-spice flavor. Let’s just say it did not go well with our Shan Dong family. We have never had this at the original.
4. Pan-fried thumb buns – we were hoping to get their amazing steamed pork baos but they haven’t started offering this yet so we settled for thumb buns. They were overly oily and not crispy which took away from the experience.
5. Xiao long baos – the best tasting out of all the dishes. The XLB were large and had a large amount of soup. The meat and skin were delightful. The only problem was that 1 of them came broken at the table- soup had leaked out and the broth had made a cooked protein beige veil at the tear. About half of the XLB broke when we picked them up making for a less than optimal experience and we are experienced XLB pickers.
6. Just a comment on their black vinegar- it is salty. They don’t have the non-salty vinegar yet. Also, they are generous with their thinly slice ginger.

The restaurant is in a much larger space, so there is more room to maneuver but further the waiters have to walk. There is a large bar on one side of the wall that’s not set up yet but we saw people eating there. I think it will be a great place for nights you want to go for drinks and snacks in the future,. There is also a glass room for private party dining. You can also see 3 people making dumplings through the glass window à la “Din Tai Fung”. The restroom is clean and has more stalls (3). The ambiance for now is a bit sterile but I like the overall feel and future possibilities.

As we were leaving, the room had filled up and people were signing up for the waiting list at the stand. We will come back again in a few months after they have gone through their learning curve and try their food again. Because when their food is done right, it is so addictive that we drive near an hour west 2-3 times a month to get our fix.

Delicious soup dumplings! Best in Houston and satisfies this Din Tai Fung fanatic. Cucumbers were refreshing and tasty that helped balanced out all the dishes. Cant wait to return to try some Chef’s specials. Service was also great.

Went in on a Saturday around 1 waited about 35 minutes to be seated. When we sat down nobody came to our table for at least 5 minutes then a lady approached us and asked us what we wanted . After about another 15 minutes we got our food around 1:55.

We tried the soup dumplings they were okay the meat didn’t have much flavor, and also the braised pork pan fried dumplings and those were good but we expected the meat to be more tender and juicy.

Now to the worst part as we were leaving, one of the workers came to our table and we paid on a tablet and our total came out to about 28 dollars and when asked for a tip on the tablet we didn’t leave one. When the waiter seen that we didn’t leave a tip on there he said in a very passive aggressive tone “why was the service bad? Was the food not good? What happened?” and we said it was fine he then proceeded to say “so no tip?” “no tip?” “why” “what happened” and “this is not mcdonald’s” we were shocked to say the least, we were already planning to tip but when he said that we did not feel as though he deserved it but we still left a cash tip. We left very disappointed and did not tell management as though we should have; will not come back again as the food is subpar and service from one of the workers of very shaming.

Delicious dumplings. We got the chicken soup dumplings and the shrimp pork spicy sour dumplings. I like the spicy pork ones better cause the broth was delicious! Prices are good too like 10 bucks a dish! Will be bringing folks here more! It does get busy here. We waited for like 15 mins after putting our names on the waitlist.
