Went with a friend and ordered the original chicken sandwich. Chicken was super flavorful, coleslaw was refreshing and juicy, and pickle was a good touch. I ordered the medium but it wasn’t super spicy — if you like spicy go for hot and above. Nevertheless, service was excellent, with our food coming out in 5 minutes and high quality. Great portion sizes for price, and the aesthetics inside the restaurant were top tier. Overall I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone passing by Maplewood.

The space itself is smaller with a limited number of indoor tables and outdoor tables, but we had no problem getting a seat. The service was extremely fast and friendly.
Barn Bird is known for their chicken, obviously. But I appreciated all of the different menu options as to how to enjoy it: sandwiches, salads, or straight up.
So I followed my friend lead and ordered the fries loaded with chopped up chicken. I got my chicken medium-spicy, which was the perfect level of kick and I left the coleslaw on mine. My friend ordered the exact same thing but removed the coleslaw from hers.
The fries were crispy and held up well to the sauce and coleslaw. There was tons of juicy chopped chicken. They definitely did not skimp on the chicken portion. This dish screamed comfort food, and was exactly what I needed that day while visiting my friend.

It was our first time here and we were greeted with a friendly smile! The Menu is simple and many good tasty food dishes to choose from! First time visiting, and what a treat! The chicken was juicy and well seasoned, and the pickles on top were a nice touch. The fresh fries were tasty as well. The place seems to have fluctuations of visitors as it went full and empty thrice while I was there in about 1 hour.

DELICIOUS. Had to start there because it really was that good.
Stopped in for Sunday lunch and ordered the chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and half & half drinks… every single thing hit. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.
The service was super friendly too, which made the whole experience even better. Already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!

I tried the sweet potato waffles and the chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato waffle (the sweet potatoes weren’t in the room). However I enjoyed the chicken sandwich and the fries. I would definitely get that again. Lastly, one down side about dining in during the winter, it gets pretty cold in there and it doesn’t help that the door is so close to the seating area.

Finally went in and ordered a chicken sando, jumbo tenders, and a side of potato waffle. I had the waffle that same evening, one tender that same evening, and the rest for lunch the next day. When I say it’s a good thing that Maplewood is far, it’s not a bad thing. The staff is also exceptional. I will be back!

Chicken tender sandwich was to die for. So crispy, so delicious and well seasoned. I ordered the fries and chicken too! Definitely will be eating that again. It’s enough for two people. Love that I was able to bring my own beverage. Good energy, quiet lunch, and both my friend & I will be returning. Oh and the cornbread pudding was so good. I ordered one to take home and had coffee with it the next morning.
