What a welcoming place. It is cozy and packed full with high quality wines, meats and cheeses. Most of which would be difficult to find. The portion of the charcuterie was very generous and delicious! We snacked on it for several days.
The sandwiches are incredible! We had the Italian and the turkey, Brie, avocado, with basil aioli. Wow – chef’s kiss!!
My husband (Dominic) and I really enjoyed hanging out with Leslie while she put together our goodies. Will 100% go back.

Got a charcuterie platter for a Coastal Humane Society board meeting…it was a huge hit with everyone. Leslie helped us pick out a variety of meats, cheeses and fruits.
It did not disappoint!

Leslie is the best! My husband and I came in to inquire about ordering a charcuterie board and Leslie was very welcoming and knowledgeable! We picked up our charcuterie board the next day and enjoyed it by the beach with champagne that Leslie helped us pick out! Would highly recommend and will be returning when we come to the outer banks next!

The vibe is chill and homely the sandwiches are amazing, had the KDH and the Kitty Hawk! I Luv that they incorporate the local names. Leslie the owner is fun to talk to and can explain every cheese in detail as well as her wines which they have a huge selection. If you are in OBX stop by! She even does catering if you need a board for your family in your rental!

What a gem to have in Kitty Hawk! Leslie is the epitome of passion and it shows in her food, shop cleanliness and customer service! Her shop is so much more than incredible high-end charcuterie! The sandwiches are fresh and simply THE best in town! We tried the new pimento cheese sliders (made with Imperial Buck Cheddar which is divine on its own!) today and they were fantastic! Nothing like that crap grocery store nonsense! We also tried her French Dip sandwich which has caramelized onions from her fabulous French Onion Soup. My husband is a French Dip snob and said this was “the best one I’ve ever had!” Do yourself a favor and check this place out! You can also enjoy a beautiful wine offering and/or local beer in her lovely secluded outdoor area! We are so grateful to have her in our neighborhood!

Leslie is not only passionate about what she does, but also extremely knowledgeable about all the amazing product she sells & provides for tastings! The inspection rating is 100%, the charcuterie is cut & arranged on the same day it’s ordered for, so it’s super fresh! The wine & beer selection tastes wonderful and the presentation is beautiful- perfect for a day at the beach, brunch or a cozy evening in. There’s also a nice lawn area for hanging out with fire pits, picnic benches, and corn hole, and you can order sandwiches on warm fresh French baguette to go! Highly recommend!!!

I have visited Sophisticated Charcuterie on 3 separate visits to the Outer Banks since last fall. The owner, Leslie, is so welcoming and friendly. The sandwiches and charcuterie boards are amazing! Leslie loves to teach you about all the foods she prepares & she uses top quality high end products for her sandwiches and charcuterie boards . I hope to attend one of the Tuesday wine tasting events this summer on my next trip to OBX. Highly recommend!

I have frequented this shop EVERY SUMMER for the last decade at least and my FAVORITE aged gouda is one of the MANY cheeses they have on offer. One herd from New Jersey and I can ONLY get it from this lovely shop. The service is impeccable, the quality is superb, the experience is unequaled. You MUST visit at your FIST AVAILABLE CONVENIENCE. made me the most incredible board for my birthday! We were so impressed with the variety of items. It was very tasty and barely lasted an hour, it was instantly devoured. She even called me the next day to ask me how I enjoyed it, which I thought was nice. I highly recommend this shop!
