This is in the new Luna Hall food court. Kung Fu Tea is also in here. We have been to the one in Chinatown DC so decided to try it out. Right away we knew we wanted the Rainbow Soup Dumplings and they did not disappoint! There were six different flavors included, chicken, mala (spicy pork), pork, shrimp & zucchini, crab & pork, and black truffle (pork). They were good on their own, I didn’t add the extra sauce. We also ordered the scallion pancake with beef and the crispy pan fried noodles with chicken. It was hard to decide from all the delicious sounding options. Dave loved his scallion pancakes and we both enjoyed the crispy noodle dish. We also ordered drinks from Kung Fu Tea. He got the Oreo slush and I got the winter melon iced tea. The tea was way too sweet for me but he loved his slush after dinner!

Really enjoyed our meal. Had never had soup dumplings before. Great place. Great meal. Shares a space with Kung Fu Tea.

The xiao long baos (soup dumplings) are great. The skin is perfect thickness and filling is flavorful. The spicy pork (red ones) were our favorite. I do wish the vinegar automatically comes with the order and not have to ask for it, or maybe have the vinegar at the tables… the portion size of the vinegar was less than a container full and not enough for an order.
We also got the braised beef noodle soup and the broth was full of flavor. Beef was tender but the noodles were a bit overcooked and too soft for our liking.
Lastly, the garlic cucumber salad was our less favorite. It was barely marinated and didn’t taste like much. I would skip that next time.

First time here and it was really good. The soup dumplings were tasty and the noodles, along with the spicy beef was delicious.

The service was good, but the dumplings left me feeling gross all day.
I got the scallion pancakes, which were good for the first few bites, but as I kept eating it just felt more greasy, and the sauce was overly salty.
The soup dumplings seemed good, but they had these fat clumps that would spill out. I’m sure it was fine, but the texture and taste were so unappetizing. For the rest of the day, the flavor was stuck in my mouth and not in a good way.
The employees were very nice, it’s worth a try.

Also known as Luna something .. got me twice cause I thought it was a different restaurant and I’m not from the area. Not worth the hr drive to try soup dumplings. On the second visit I tried the pan seared dumplings. The bottoms were totally seared off. They had canned sodas but you had to wait for the boba tea place to open for any water.. and they open later. Bf tried some noodles he didn’t realize would be cracker crispy crunchy .. not a fan. Reminded us of sores ramen. Service was mediocre. If they weren’t so busy on the phones they might have heard him ask for regular pan noodles. Mentioned it after and they were like “ohh yea..” could have fixed it and maybe we’d have come back ♀️

I’ve had xiao lin bao from Shanghai to Manhattan & Flushing Chinatowns, and Silicon Valley and these are really good. Very rich soup, and the mala and truffle flavors are fun, despite being a bit processed. My Shanghai never wife thinks these are very good!

Pretty authentic dim sum place, variety dishes, freshly cooked whenever you order. Went on a Sunday lunch, connected to Kung Fu Tea next door.

This is definitely a fast-casual kind of scenario, but the soup dumplings are sublime! Their dipping sauce is EXACTLY how I remember it being in Shanghai, and it makes a huge difference. You can watch people folding the dumplings. Their vegetable stir fry noodles are really good. My 2 and 5 year old girls love eating here so much they request it as their birthday meals.

I’ve been to Dumpling District three times since moving to Ellicott City, and every time I am blown away! The soup dumplings are amazing and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. The scallion pancakes are light and crispy. When I order online it takes about 10 minutes to be ready. I’ve always been greeted with kindness by staff. Would definitely recommend for soup dumplings or classic Chinese cuisine!
