The meals are prepared fresh in front of you by the staff. The hummus was the best hummus we have had in Nashville. While we waited for our main entrees, we were given some bites to try off of their appetizer menu. Everything was delicious. Our main meals were filling and so well executed. Everything was very fresh, well made, and delicious. The prices were very reasonable for this area as well. We spent around $50 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and drinks. Will definitely be back.
We spoke with one of the owners, Selim, who was very friendly and explained the Turkish cuisine and hospitality. It’s fun to watch those guys at work creating such beautiful and delicious dishes!
FYI no alcohol served. We got drinks from a bar next to the restaurant and brought it over.
I was lucky enough to discover Kardis upon a recent trip to L&M Market. The experience was perfection. From the warm welcome with Turkish tea to learning about the unique dishes and offerings woven with cultural stories from chef owner Oscar. I was transported to Antakya with every dish.
The menu has both vegetarian and carnivore options and what is obvious to me is the level of detail in the sourcing of the ingredients, the family honored recipes, and the quality of each delicious bite.
It’s a beautiful bridge between our two countries to have this shining star of Turkish cuisine offered in Nashville and I look forward to my next visit as I will be working my way through the menu.
Today I ordered the Kisir and Kofte kabobs. Both were a delicious arrangement of rainbows on my plate – with colors , textures, and flavor explosion!
“Aferin dostum”
A friend suggest so I checked out this brand new Turkish restaurant and honestly loved everything about it. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, and was homemade and you could tell.
I had the Kisir (kind of like a bulgur salad served in lettuce wraps) which was light and delicious. The Börek was flaky and hit the spot. And the pumpkin dessert with kaymak was unexpectedly good. The kaymak (had to google it – it’s clotted cream) takes it over the top. Finished with a Turkish coffee, (it’s supposed to have grounds on the bottom) which was strong, smooth, and exactly how it should be.
The owners are Cem, Selim, and Oscar and are so kind. You can tell they care about the food and the experience. They make you feel like you’re a guest, not just a customer.
It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine right from the start. Definitely worth checking out. Try it if you want a food adventure that’s not typical
Cem and Selim brothers give their best to create the authentic food in front of your eyes.
All crew are welcoming all guests with a broad smile and warm welcome.
Kuzu (lamb) Tandir and Wrap were perfect! Salads and all the veggies were fresh and well-presented.
Turkish coffee with the delight is an excellent combo, to finish the feast.
There’s no alcohol served, so bring your own if that matters to you . Honestly, it didn’t detract one bit. The owner—who also happens to be the cook—was incredibly warm and welcoming, clearly proud of the food and happy to share it.
And the food? Stellar across the board. Truly, you can’t go wrong ordering anything. The meatballs were outstanding—rich, perfectly seasoned, and deeply satisfying. The kids demolished the hummus and then asked for two extra helpings, which says more than any critic ever could .
The menu is seasonal, thoughtful, and clearly curated with care. Every dish feels intentional. I’m already looking forward to coming back and working my way through whatever’s new next time. This is the kind of place you hope doesn’t get too crowded—but also feel compelled to tell everyone about.
Thank you!
This was my second time visiting Kardes Kebap Grill in Nashville, and it was just as great as the first. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The food is consistently amazing—especially the köfte, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The mezes (side) were fresh and delicious, and they paired really well with the main dish. And of course, the Turkish coffee was incredible—rich, strong, and the perfect way to finish the meal. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again!
