A friend recommended the burgers here and said there was outdoor seating, so since it was a beautiful Friday evening, we decided to give it a try. This little casual place is right along the Rock River out in the middle of the countryside. The gravel parking was plentiful but chaotic. There is also a boat dock if you want to.
This is a cash only establishment, we did not know this when we decided to go, but luckily, it wasn’t a problem for us this evening. There was live music being played with several people dancing to it.
As I mentioned, you may dine inside or outside on the patio under umbrellas at picnic tables. We were unclear if you ordered at the table or inside, but eventually, a waitress came out and said you could order at the table or order inside, and they would bring it out. Our server was outstanding. She had many tables and did fantastic making sure everyone was well taken care of.
The menu was pretty varied, and everything that was ordered at our table was enjoyed by those who ordered it. We started with drinks and an appetizer platter, they were both very good. The burger was very good and served with your choice of toppings and sides. we ordered the fresh fruit, and it didn’t disappoint as it was fresh and cold. Someone ordered a chicken wrap. It was very good with unique flavors. We ordered the beef taco salad and it didn’t disappoint.
We will definitely go back and try a couple of the other things on the menu.

I had the “best” Cobb chicken salad ever! It was fresh, very tasty and full of amazing things! Be sure to add their special dressing on it.

The Thursday night tacos menu is wonderful, affordable, and you can pair them with your favorite grown up beverage! Family friendly, and a warm atmosphere make this an easy choice for a great meal! We stop there every time we are out on the boat. The Barge is the best appetizers I’ve ever had. Everything is so fresh and awesome. We’ve had the sandwiches too and those are super fresh and yummy. Wish we didn’t live 2 hours away or we’d be in more often. A must for great food and atmosphere.

They were very busy, but the super friendly waitress, Capri got our order in quickly, and was very attentive! The cook, Kassy came out to make sure everything was just right, and we went in to pay and chatted with the local owners, The Knutsens are doing a great job, and the remodel looks amazing!!!

This a great small place just off the river with indoor and outdoor seating. While most probably order chicken strips or burgers they do offer other great options as well! The prime rib sandwich is served open face with au jus, which was really good. And the butterfly’d pork chop sandwich was season well and was a good portion.
They could use a bit more and updated dock space with better tie downs and a bit further from the rocky shore.
Also beware that credit cards are a minimum $20 charge. So if your paying alone bring cash!
