We were the first specialty coffee shop in Lake Norman and are now expanding to Belmont. Our goal is to create a space where you can have business meetings, study, hang out, or simply grab a quick cup of coffee to-go. We aim to be your home away from home.

Delicious coffee, ample seating, elegant atmosphere.
This place was great!
I got a medium latte as usual. It was quite tasty.
The decor and setting of the establishment is very cool- a piano in one corner, a unique chair in another, many tables out the back door, and plenty of space to get work done, study or have a conversation.
They also have ice cream which is very cool!
I’ll certainly be back for coffee and other treats.

I’ve come here twice. The coffee is great.
The dude that works here is friendly but the shorter lady is probably the worst coffee shop worker that I’ve ever met.
The place has never been clean when I’ve been here. The waterbean in Gastonia is way better. This is all my personal opinion.

Could be an enjoyable coffee shop, but has SO many issues. VERY dirty environment. German cockroaches in the bathroom, walking around in the daytime on floor and in sink. Cashier/barista was straight up rude and arrogant when we walked inside with our group, so we left. I absolutely refuse to give my hard earned money to an establishment that is not only filthy, but hires such incompetent and unwelcoming staff. I will never visit any Waterbean location after walking into this one.

simple, aesthetic, great customer service.
the fresh smell of coffee is perfect, of course, you need to like or love coffee that much to find it’s smell pleasant.

coming back and still blowing away by the simplicity of this Cafe’s theme.
i recommend the latte or cappuccino to start your journey in coffee.
for my cousins the tea drinkers, they got a nice list of herbs that you can try.

try the affogato:
you pick the ice cream flavor and will come with 2 espressos shots, it’s not blend like a frappe, and i suggest just 1 shot, 2 may be too much for your stomach.

Even though the avocado toast is delicious and simple, it’s high in price,
anyone can replicate the item with +/-10$ and have more than just 2 pieces.
i will recommend to upgrade the plate to match the $ or reduce it in price.
outside of that, Coffee still great and delicious ,specially with English toffee or Irish cream syrups.

This place has a really modern vibe with great service. I got the butter-beer latte (holiday special) (toffee, caramel, Irish cream) it was very good. I also got a cranberry white chip cookie. It was also very good.

We came on a Saturday morning to try a new place. If you’re looking for a completely different feel from the South or any other typical coffee shop, this may be your place. The cashier at the front was kind but the ladies calling out names and giving you your coffee and food at the end of the bar area could have been more friendly. If you’re used to walking in, feeling comfortable, and having the kindest people serve and talk to you, this may not be your place. While beautiful, it has a very New York with retro chairs feeling to it which comes with a lack of southern hospitality. The Bagel was great and coffees were good, but I was never asked what kind of milk was okay (I don’t know if you are able to do that here, I was much too busy trying to scan over a menu while she was trying to take my order as we had never been there) and we didn’t get an extra shot of espresso in either of our drinks that we ordered and we kind of just felt out of place. There is a nice area out back where you can enjoy your coffee outside by the flower beds.

Such a nice atmosphere, and the coffee was awesome. They have several smaller tables and then large high top tables in hte back for groups. The chai latte was amazing, as was the espresso flight. Staff were nice and helpful! Seems like a great place to grab a table and do some work as well.

What a quaint and modern place. I feel that most coffee shops I go to try to lean towards a more comfortable and vintage atmosphere, but this shop is modern, large, and quiet. It’s not what I had expected when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised. The workers were kind and brought our drinks to us (I wasn’t expecting that at all, very hands-on) and the interaction with them was quick but not rushed.
The coffees we got are the paradise latte (one with purple) and the everything latte. The paradise latte has an ube cold foam, and if you’ve never had ube, it seems to have a mild yet creamy flavor that compliments the coffee well. The everything latte has a cream cheese cold foam, something I’ve never seen before, but it’s a unique flavor and tastes nice. They also have small bakery items and ice cream. There is plenty of seating and it’s nice to just relax and enjoy your coffee.
I recommend this coffee shop if you want to try something new or just sit down and do some work. They have outlets everywhere and wifi.
